Bill Walton's injury history is pretty incredible when you look at how much time he missed. He went one stretch where he played 14 games in FOUR YEARS. In total, the guy missed four entire seasons and had other seasons where he only played in 35, 14, 33, and 10 games. The guy was technically in the league for 14 seasons and only played in 468 games, an average of 33 games per year.

The most amazing part, even with Walton, Bowie, Oden, and Roy all going down with career altering injuries. The Trailblazers have still been one of the best teams NBA year in and year out since 1974.

It's easy to say that they would be unstoppable if they weren't injured to ruin their career.

Ralph Sampson, he stays heathy with Hakeem and LA showtime is changed forever, they proved that in 86. The next year Ralph got injured. They lost to the Celtics in 86, but if they got a better point guard, they would have defeated them too.

You forgot Maurice Stokes for this list. He was just simply amazing. Stokes would have eventually teamed with Oscar Robertson and Jerry Lucas with the Cincinnati Royals. Stokes would have had a career equal to, or even better than, Robertson and/or Lucas.

Larry Bird is worth a mention. Yes, he had a great career but he had a lot left (was 2nd in MVP voting) when he went down.

Grant Hill and T Mac (also with Tim Duncan supposedly joining them) was the NBA's biggest "what if" story.

Should have mentioned Maurice Stokes. All-Star each of his first 3 seasons before falling and landing awkwardly on his head, leaving him paralyzed. Obviously, we're talking about a very different era, but the 60s could have been a lot different if he and Oscar Robertson had been able to team up.

Before I even watch this... one player nobody ever talks about who ABSOLUTELY would have been a beast if not for injuries was Brandon Roy. We got to see a very tiny piece of what could definitely have been an HoF career had he never had nagging injuries linger so often.

Allan Houston, Bernard King, Alonzo Mourning, Baron Davis, Elton Brand, and I would even put Chris Paul on here because even though he had a really good career he who was way more athletic before injuries early in his career.

Ralph Sampson should be number 1 on this list, NOT an honorable mention. He did more in his 5 healthy seasons than most players did in their entire careers: *4× NBA All-Star (1984-1987) *NBA All-Star Game MVP (1985) *All-NBA Second Team (1985) *NBA Rookie of the Year (1984) THE FIRST EVER UNANIMOUS ROOKIE OF THE YEAR IN NBA HISTORY. *NBA All-Rookie Team (1984) *3× College national player of the year (1981-1983) *3× Consensus first-team All-American (1981-1983) I also think Darrell “Dr. Dunkenstein“ Griffith should get an honorable mention.
