For David Robinson, for context, it would have been great that it was mentioned that he had the size of a center, the body of a forward, and the speed of a guard. He was a 'freak' because he could battle it out in the middle against traditional centers, block or steal the ball, and outrun most at the time to the opposite basket, while handling the ball like a point forward. He was what the modern take on centers is nowadays, but with the size many modern centers lack.

No, when you say "freak of nature" its exactly that, a dude that's ATHLETICALLY the top of the top, a rare case. Jordan was a 6'6 guy with a 46inch vert, the hands of a center, a 7ft wingspan, quick and agile, ran the 40y in 4.3 and had the best first step and hang time ever. There's not a fuckin single thing Rodman has over Jordan athletically besides maybe strength.
