The only way to defeat laziness is to develop a sense of urgency. Realize that time is limited and valuable and you'll die a loser with regrets if you remain lazy. Be introspective and find the things you value and motivation will come automatically. An example is i value my little brothers perception of me and i want to be an older brother that can be a role model and a source of pride for him. That is one of the things that gets me off the couch and start grinding. Just like that you need to find your own things you value the most.

Can I try with the advices/motivational speech too? 1 - Not doing stuff is never fun, your brain begins to rot on the third day of doing nothing. 2 - Half-assing your tasks sometimes is the best you can do. 3 - You still have your fundamental whining rights, anxiety or not. 4 - Do your absolute worst, peeps, make a real mess out of your life, ruin this day.

I have anxiety. Sheesh. Sometimes I still get real nervous and mess up my words. However, something terrible happened to me emotionally, and everything I did daily didn't make me happy anymore. So I decided to go out and try to make some friends, preferably male because all my co-workers are female and I hardly have any males to relate with. I went to college played some Morrowind and people noticed me. They were interested in my opinions on the Skyrim war and Three banners war. From that day forward I decided I would say "Hi" to these people whenever I crossed paths with them on campus. Doing so I got asked my name one day. I introduced myself and he introduced himself to me. We shook hands. I feel accomplished and was proud that by being more vocal and interested in others I got someone to notice me.

I've started socializing with other people at school. However, the biggest wall stopping me from socializing is they and I have very different fields of experiences. I can't relate to anything they're saying because I was brought up by my parents telling me that my peers just talked about nonsense and that I shouldn't engage in those conversations. Now just feel out of place. I don't understand half of the terms they use, who are the people they're talking about, what topics people my age prefer to discuss. I don't get where they're getting their information from. Though this video wasn't really about my problem rn, I think the points given may help me become more sociable. Thanks for the video, and btw I think this might be my favorite one. The narration is neat and the animation is my aesthetic

"keeps from getting your feelings... Hurt all the time" is a terrible choice of words. More like don't over share your most intimate personal details bc you don't always know other ppls true intentions that they have for you. "Makes you seem mysterious" is horrible too. Who cares what other ppl think?... keep things for yourself, bc it just feels right. Not bc it seems appealing... If you can stop things before they ever escalate, simply do so. Learn how to keep your mouth shut, & you'll learn who will waste the energy to get to know the real you. Or not, real quick. But sometimes, ppls biggest fans are also their top haters too. So there's that 🤔🤷

But after watching this video, it showed me that I have many of these habits and I feel happy about it. I just want my life to be more interesting than the rest, or at least have a more interesting mind than others. I always doubted I was special no matter what excuse I had that I was or whoever disagreed that I was boring. I should try doing the "bring a notebook everywhere" technique 👀📒 I myself like to write and draw stuff, but sometimes I get too lazy to write it so I just not. Maybe if I carry a notebook around me everytime It will eventually become my habit to write and draw about the things happening in a day of my life. And if I ever finish it, it would hold a lot of memories. If I go check and read the pages a few years after, I'd remember the happenings. It would be a cool and fun experience! Im going to buy a notebook that I think is perfect to carry around all the time then after that, I would start writing everything. With drawings to show how it happened ^^ Thanks, Psych2Go! I’ve been obsessing over how to be more interesting and this is such a refreshing reasonable list, everything in it I’ve come to relaize over the past couple months, nice to see them so succinctly summarized just about implementing

I do all of these things already, so it’s nice to know I’m doing the right thing. Years ago, I got frustrated and posted, if you want me to be interested in you, then please be interesting. I kept getting messages from people who wanted to meet me and liked me, but all they can say was hi, and I’m bored. Sorry, not interested. I’m rarely bored because I constantly study and learn new things.

I understand this. I train search and rescue/cadaver dogs, and I post some stories of my experiences on Reddit. People ask me for more wild stories, but usually my job is very mundane. What I post makes my life look crazy, but it's not.

The thing about social media, is that I think it's amazing, but its more bad than good. It's full of toxic people, I've even been cyberbullied before (it stopped within a week cuz i told someone), but it's also full of kind people. But it's still REALLY dangerous

Realizing I do none of these things and being boring has been an insecurity..but instead of working on it I wear a facade on social media pretending to have lots of hobbies that I don’t actually have, then people talk to me irl and realize I am the most boring person ever and I don’t know about or how to do anything 😊being pretentious never works, I feel like I’m wasting my entire life. I don’t think there’s ever been a moment I was true to myself

Just saying I deleted social media and it was the best thing that happened to me. I gave my friends my phone number and use whatsapp etc. I was super self conscious and when I deleted social media I was still self conscious but a little less and I didnt find myself worrying about my friends leaving me out etc. As much as I wasnt really aware of it or got notifications about it often. I've been of social media for about 6 months and I 100% reccomend it.

So, this is how to be interesting, or to be more interesting? I don't really care about being interesting to myself or others. I just want others to like me just the way I am and for who I am, nothing more nothing less. As for myself, once certain things in my life change I'll most likely be more happy or content. And to me, interesting is more used for concepts, ideas, subjects, thoughts, and things, not beings. I use intriguing for people not interesting.

Intriguing is to be curious, & to have wonder about ppl tho. That's not even relative to the energy of boredom, doofus.

@@ahhwe-any7434 Right, if I'm curious about someone or something I'm inclined to learn more. What does boredom have to do with it? I think this is the first time anyone has ever called me a doofus, it amuses me.

Very cool info for motivation it's best to learn & hear it now . I guess one's never too old to learn . The internet and Y-Tube weren't around in 1975 or 1980 . Back in those days you'd had to read a ton books. But Google is here if you want to learn something quick. In the old days the motto was call your local library, and many people did. Literally over the phone & it was announced over TV...call your local library. But no one had a clue how things would be in future. Very cool info thanks for sharing & have a nice weekend.

Also, the most interesting, intelligent, and hard working people usually aren't self aware! If you make sure to look at life around you as full of opportunities and growth that you make time to pursue whenever you can, you'll become one of those interesting people. I used to be kinda upset that I wasn't a funny person. Then I changed my mindset to "how cool and great will it be if one day I'm able to make people smile and laugh?" I only realized recently that maybe I've achieved that goal when my coworker was driving me home and he had to start driving slower because he was laughing so hard at what I said that he was tearing up and had trouble focusing on the road. Look at the skills you don't have as opportunities and potential that you will one day achieve! That's how you make that positive change in your life you wish to see.

I still do not understand, why you should not be interesting and loved, If you are just as you are. If you have skills, that others find interesting, it's not you they find interesting but your skill. I don't want to be loved for what I can but for what I am.

Unfortunately, for those of us on the spectrum, doing things that are unfamiliar and unpredictable are very scary and I kind of feel like this is telling me that not always doing something that scares me means I’m not being interesting.
