I've been single most of my life. I'm ACE and that can be difficult, for other people to understand. I tried relationships before, but I just feel nothing, no mater if I'm taken or not. To me, being single is the better route. Others won't feel, I don't like them, when I take a lot of "me" time. I'm an introvert and don't feel that romance is my thing. I related to most of what you said. I'm asexual, but also a wlw, and i admit that i have to work on many things about myself, like the fact that i never came out to anyone, because i know that it will disappoint my parents, i'm almost 30 and i'm still afraid of it, lol. However, i also never felt the urge to date, so never saw the need to come out, i never fell in love, but am sure that any other type of attraction is exclusively towards women. I'm also an introvert and spent a lot of alone time just listening to music or even doing nothing at all. Sometimes, i do feel like i'd really like to have a girlfriend, but i don't know if i'd be a good girlfriend. I was in a relationship for over ten years, granted it wasn't a happy one due to abuse but I felt more lonely stuck with them than I do now. Being single isn't a bad thing if you refocus your mindset, I'm finding joy in my hobbies once more, I'm learning things they refused to let me try and turning my home into my own cosy abode. There's this beautiful post I once found that says when you are finally at peace with yourself, love doesn't compete with your past but your comfort and happiness; if they can't compete with your safe zone be wary. I'm happy in my own company and really not anchoring for love any time soon 💗

As a single man who plays videogames in my freetime outside of work and also terrible at social interactions with strangers, take this very terrible advise with absolutely no guarantee or veryfied truth to it: _If you can sit next to a man and not have the urge to want to speak about random nonsense the whole time, If you don't take out your phone to check some arbitrary social media status every 5 minutes and if you manage to put a slight slime on your face (even if shyishly)_ .Then you'll most likely be alright somewhere down the line. Even if a man will judge you(r looks) in their mind, they will not treat your badly if you are not nagging or "overly present". At least this is what I would say... Hey, at first I wanted to rush into a relationship because half of my classmates are dating, and I wanted to try it out. That was during highschool... looking at it now, I should've told myself to be content with being single, because atleast I now have the time to invest in things I have the time to do, as well as being okay with being alone! I feel fine being single, when valentines came this year i didn't felt lonely or sad, i spent time with my friends and just enjoyed the things that make me happy, i'm not insecure about my appearance, i know that i have things to work on to be a better person but i love affection just as everyone else, i'm just not desperate to get it fast (Remember the fast way it's not always the best way), i want things to flow naturally and i really want to feel that i'm really attracted to the person im supposed to be in love with and i want to make sure that person feels the same way with me. It's nice to have someone to share your life with and sometimes even a little necessary to have an special connection with somebody when things get rough, but being single is cool as well, you have a lot of time to spent on discovering yourself and grinding good habits and fixing problems to become a better human, at least that's my perspective, so to anyone who feels frustrated out there, this is my advice: Stop worrying about it and just enjoy life, persue your goals, don't depend just on love from other people to be happy. Love yourself first before wanting to love someone else :)

I've experienced in relationship but i broke up so early bcause i don't know what to do together. I was 14 back then (frontal lobe wasn't well developed yet lol). He is so kind, i hurt his feeling even he said he's okay. Now I'm 27 made me realised, my situation is like, right person wrong time. Now that guy already engaged with beautiful and talented girl. I definitely no match with her. He deserved girl like her after all. I'm so happy for them, he found his happiness. For me, i haven't think to get a partner yet. Got a lot of commitment, and so much thing to deal with. I guess i already comfortable being single. (i hope my mom won't see this 🤣)

My last and only relationship ended 22 years ago in a traumatic way that destroyed my ability to trust anyone in a romantic capacity. I've heard it said and I've learned from experience that talking about what happened in a past relationship is a dealbreaker when trying to embark upon a new one, but I feel that information needs to be put out there so that my prospective SO can understand why I'm hesitant about this or reluctant about that or downright panicking about the other thing. Without that vital context, they'll just think that I'm uninterested or possibly even hostile to their advances, but with it, I still scare them off. It's a lose-lose proposition. My last SO did me hella dirty and I feel that's irrevocably impaired any potential future relationship opportunities.

I want a relationship, but I'm not ready for it. I always thought that I was making bad choices, and I did cause I'm not ready. So, I decided to live my life while coming in terms with that notion and who knows, maybe I'll meet someone during my 20s or later. I know I'm not going to be left out - why I know that? I'm a pretty social person, but I like to keep my social circle small and manageable. I think I'm a "social introvert" where I crave interaction, but I do enjoy alone time. That said, a lot of my friends have gotten into relationships and moved on from me and it's becoming more and more lonely as the years go by and while being single is nice, I do want that kind of relationship in my life. I don't come across friends very easily, much less girl friends, so getting to know someone on such a level that I can see them as a girlfriend is next to impossible to me right now. Also, I wish people would set me up on blind-dates, at least I'd be trying people out. Oh well, I'm nothing if not patient.

Every time i feel lonely i look at toxic relationships and failed marriages. (Divorce rate is 80%) and my solitude and freedom is what i should be proud for

Really nice video as always! I'm single and I never was in a couple and I think taht it's a pretty accurate video. Also a have a question : I went to school today and during the few minutes I wasn't at my desk I received a *love* letter.First time that someone gave me one(even if i don't know who is it). There was a meeting location so I know who asked me out but she seems to have erased the meeting location and I don't have any more info taht she wears glasses and that she was in the same classroom as me at least one hour but I'm not sure that its' a true love letter or a fake one. as i type thsi it's almost 7:20pm the same day. What should I do? I felt pretty weird never had thsi sensation in my life but it doesn't feel normal.Yeah I know I'm pretty young but could someone help?

Ask the individual directly is my advice. If they are confused, just explain that you got the letter and thought it was them.

I always wanted a girlfriend. Took forever to get a girlfriend and marriage. I felt like I had the great marriage only to go through a brutal and expensive divorce. My kids were only 4 and 1 years old. The divorce started in 2013 and ended in 2015. Only been on three dates and two were one and done. The third date was an overgrown teenager in a mid 40s woman. After that, I decided to give up. Not worth it anymore.
