I'll be honest, looking at this video and others about these exams, i'm now looking at the leaning partner i did all my work with up until now (my exam being tomorrow) and thinking i might be lacking some key communication with them. Little to no tutor time, expensive exam costs, no example papers to submit to them ahead of time. I went into this thinking the practical would be the harder part of the 2, looking at it now. I'm worried i'm not going to pass either....

Sir, what your thoughts about NEBOSH enquiry about results(EAR). I Completed my IG1 exam on sep 2024 and got referred.(38 marks 45 pass mark). But in honest as of my knowledge i done exam very well and will get minimum 55+. Can I go for EAR

@Compassa eLearning Doesn't the NEBOSH OBE learner guide state no more than +10% of the recommended word count? NG1 OBE, Page 1, You may NOT exceed the recommended 3000 words. (3300) After which the examiner would cease marking. I truly believe that the maximum word count did infact hold me back and played a part in me failing the exam. So if you can point me towards evidential proof that such a word count doesn't exist, it would help me greatly when I come to re-sit my exam. Thanks.

@@christennant1257 Excellent point Chris. It's quite misleading isn't it? Basically, NEBOSH want students to be concise and to the point. I guess it minimises the time Examiners spend marking. If there was a strict word limit, they would be required (by the SQA, in the spirit of being fair to the delegate) to make that clear on the OBE instructions. Instead, they say "you are not expected to write more". It's a guideline and no more.
