The answer to 9 makes no sense. Drawing a longer line next to an existing line in no way makes the existing line smaller. The existing line is smaller than the newer line, sure, but it's not any smaller than it was previously.

My answers: 1) The plane has 8 passengers, the criminal left 8 parachutes. He obviously wanted the passengers to escape as well. All he wanted was the cargo, right? [Oh. He pretended to take the 8 hostage? Eh, fair enough?] 2) Oh, the guy works as a bus driver, but not at that moment. He's on foot. Traffic signs don't care about the people not in cars. 3) I've heard this one a long time ago. I forgot which side I took, but I believe the man with the parachute is the betrayer since he brought a parachute, therefore had no intention of suiciding in the first place. [And you also agree.] 4) Pretty sure I've heard this one before, I think this same channel as well. This time, the visuals help. The guy's short, and the elevator's buttons aren't well organized, likely just one big column. 5) A boy and his dad is in the crash, the dad dies. The doctor can't work on the boy because the boy is the doctor's son. Obviously, the doctor is the boy's mother. 6) I think I've heard a similar riddle, but I forgot the answer(s). The only thing I can think of is borders. [Or the dude can still be alive. Sure.] 7) Obviously, the guy thought the phrase "an apple a day keeps the doctor away" was literal, so the doctor couldn't get the woman he and the first guy were in love with. (Of course, the phrase is metaphorical and untrue.) 8) I'd help the friend. He did save the driver's life, and it's only natural he should be redeemed. You don't lose anything helping the friend, but there's a likely chance he'll not like you if you chose one of the other people. [Or you could send the friend with the elder and the car, and take the bus with the hot chick. I'd not fully trust anyone with my car, personally (if I had one). Not even a best friend.] 9) Make the line shorter without erasing it? Rip the paper of course! You've made the line shorter, shorter segments. [I don't agree with your answer. The question said "make the line smaller", not compared to anything. Those semantics are worse than what I used!] 10) If you take a look at the 'piping', you can see all the paths are blocked except the one connecting to '5' (no idea why you've numbered them like that).

It's hard to come up with good riddles. Some rely on semantics (namely 9, which still doesn't seem fair or logical to me), while others actually have many answers and based on opinion (1 and 8 especially.)

For the suicide one, couldn’t you argue that Jack brought the parachute so if the girl didn’t jump he could use it. And if she did he wouldn’t. After there all there was a 6 second delay before he used it for him to notice she didn’t jump. Thus she betrayed him and was taking a precaution?
