Crazy how background really affects how difficult some songs are for us. I come from a more classical/fingerstyle background of playing guitar, and this list was almost completely reversed for me. Death Note especially was considerably easier for me to learn as it just felt naturally comfortable, but most of the songs in the first half of this list seem like they would be a nightmare for me to even start. I think that it's kind of easy for the composers to memorise their ownpieces, here it's the same thing like with poems: it's insanely hard for a student to learn a poem by heart and perform it with a proper intonation, whilst the artist has all this stuff in his brain already when he tells his poems, it's like walking through the maze you composed yourself xD

I feel a lot better about myself now, lol. I don't have much self esteem so whenever someone asks what the hardest song I know is, I freeze up because I learned the songs I know very quickly. I almost always just end up defaulting to either GOAT or i miss you from Ichika. But now that I know I've learned some of Polyphia's hardest riffs, I'm actually proud of myself. The Worst was one of the first ones I learned, and I don't think it took me 40 hours, lol

The hardest thing I see people having problems with in youtube is playing with a metronome. This in the other hand was very good and accurate

I’m a returning guitarist and to be honest, ever since high school when I started playing, I sucked at shredding (alternate speed picking trying to imitate petrucci) It’s always a hit or miss and lucky if the audience doesn’t notice it. But I’m kinda good at arpeggios and sweep picking and legatos. Now after just returning and with almost no calluses, I’m already trying to learn Goose. First the intro. And then since the bridge looked more challenging, I studied it immediately afterwards to decide if The song is for me. I learned the bridge but I keep messing up. It’s a struggle but I’ll keep practicing.

the thing bout the worst is so true, i learned it really fast, but to get it perfect on camera, it's hard as fuck to not make a single mistake especially the harmonics

It's fun to have your point of view because I master just 3 of those riffs : Goat, Saucy (Main Riff) and the bonus one JDBSC and for me Saucy is the easiest, then Goat, then the JDBSC which is really hard for me (sweep toooo fast). It's funny to see the differences with your point of view ahah. Well done anyway for all thos great riffs, Polyphia is life !
