In regards to BG3. My assumption is linked, to as stated in the video, the early access to Shadowheart, and her being one of the most popular potential party members. That combined with that RPG felling of having a rounded party, and having the player character be more charisma based to handle dialog.

Deprived (DS), Wretch (Elden Ring), Waste of Skin (Bloodborne) are often really useful builds for the simple reason that they give you the most personalized stat allocation options. You basically get about 9-10 practically free points to spend near the start of the game, so you can really pump into a specific stat like Arcane (ER, BB) or Bloodtinge (BB) early game and take advantage of really high damage potential against lower level mobs.

My buddy wanted to respec in ER because we were all playing in tandem and a friend had a really cool build that he wanted to try. Only when he got the tear and went to respec, the class he chose had a lot of points in something he no longer wanted or needed. It sucked and he was stuck with wasting a bunch of points in something he didn’t want. I forget the class he chose but in that moment we all learned how useful starting the game with the bare minimum was.

@@slamindorf5478 Pretty much this. Shadowheart is a very popular companion so a lot of people take her in their party so don't feel they need another Cleric, while Trickster Domain being aweful can put people off. It's a shame since a tricked out Light or Tempest Cleric slaps really hard.

Axii can definitely be useful, but I'll take Aard with the cold upgrade any day. That thing can shred through enemies and makes the normally difficult human camps found in the DLC a trivial matter. Plus it's just freaking fun to push people around.

I use the improved shield in witcher 3, it regains health based on how much damage enemies do to the shield, and when it is depleted it does a knock back and by the time enemies get to you again your ready to use snother sign. Basicakly unkillable when done correctly

People have beaten FF1 with four white mages. I used the Jedi mind Trick powers in Witcher 3. It definitely helped me. I also stunned a foe with my mind trick powers before killing them.

I am a proud Cleric player and have been since I started D&D. Granted my very first D&D character (3e if anyone was curious) was a fight, but that character was also part of the "just starting so let's make the most op bad ass possible" kind of character, lol. I don't regret him, but my first "real" character was a Sun/Health Domain Cleric. In BG3 I've played with a more recent adaptation of the exact same character, only now he's a War Cleric of Kelemvor!

There are a lot better defensive Pokémon out there that have great bulk but also great offense. Bastiodon might not have great offensive, but it is a great defensive wall, especially with a Moveset I made for it in Rock Slide, Metal Burst, Taunt and Protect. Metal Burst is the only move you really need, as that does double damage if the opponent uses an offensive move against Bastiodon. And considering Bastiodon has the Ability Sturdy and is a great defensive type combo of Rock and Steel, Bastiodon can tank hits, but if you feel like to prevent your opponent from using status moves, Taunt can take care of that, and you can use Protect to avoid taking damage, and then you have Rock Slide for a STAB Attack.

Shackle is really more for setting up Sticky Web and Stealth Rock because it can’t get killed in 1 turn. Its lack of healing options makes it pretty weak in the setting of War of Attrition.

Mind reader plus fissure can kill ANYTHING easily. So yeah, shuckle can't cut it I'm afraid. (if you try to argue that shuckle can somehow use levitate it can also be hit with horn drill & guillotine)

Oh psy psy psy, looks like you don't know your pokemon very well do you? You can turn a shuckle into a concrete wall as much as you want BUT, it can't tank the mind reader fissure combo. (I know that focus band & levitate exist in the pokemon universe but it still can't deal with one shot kills if pulled off properly)

I've beaton TW3 11 times. I only messed with an Axii build for a couple hours. It takes WAY to long to cast, and frankly just isn't that fun. You can sit around watching a couple of enemies look lame fighting, or just go straight Wolf School on all their asses. But, yeah, in essence I would say it is over looked. But so are a lot of deeper combat mechanics of TW3.

Lol, anyone who has touched D&D knows Clerics are the best build, and always have been. Need a healer? Cleric. Need a tank? Cleric. Need mobile artillery? Cleric. Need DPS? Oh, look, Cleric again. Need buffs and debuffs? Cleric. About the only thing Cleric doesn't do as well is a skill monkey.

With the way Dark Souls's stats work, Deprived will actually almost never be the best class at anything unless the minimum stat you need in *every* stat is 11. For instance a sorcerer has no use for strength, a warrior has no use for intelligence or faith, and a rogue has no need for any of those things and those respective choices won't have wasted levels in them going up to 11 because of it. That said, I like to pick Deprived for fun, but it's just that it really, really, *really* isn't secretly strong--the level 1 choices in each game tend to be that.

It baffles me how folks can look down on summoner/mind control builds. You're making your own army, either of extra-planar beings or of your enemies. Especially baffling with Elder Scrolls gamers. Like, how do you go from loving the conjuration class in Skyrim to loathing it in ESO? Folks are far too quick to dismiss Clerics as "the healing class". Druids have just as many healing options, if not more. Both are super versatile. And are far too often overlooked in favor of Evocation Wizards, Theif Rogues or Oathbreaker/Vendance Paladins.

eso IS a singleplayer game. That's why i stopped playing it. I completed dungeons solo regardless of what build i was using and, with the exception of world bosses, all the enemies in the game seemed to level with me which was an incredibly boring experience. My biggest criticism of the game has always been that eso feels like a singleplayer game that just has multiplayer options tacked on.

I played in an All-Cleric party in D&D once... Clerics are like Fighters, Healers, and DPS Mages _all in one class._ it's arguably the strongest, most versatile class in the D&D franchise. the GM was NOT pleased, as we could heal for DAYS and were tromping through his encounters like elephants through spiderwebs! 🤣 Tank? Cleric of a Dwarven God and/or with a Defense domain: you can get heavy armor _and still cast spells Healer? well duh! by FAR the best class in the game for this, with only the Warlock with a healing cantrip at low levels coming close, and ONLY at low levels! DPS? some of the strongest spells in the Forgotten Realms are ONLY available to Divine Spellcasters, and Clerics are the _Strongest_ of those! PLUS you can hit like a Fighter! You can even use the Martial weapon of your choice if you pick a God with the right Divine Weapon (BG3 just let's you pick it outright, I think 🤔) Support? only the Bard is more versatile in this field! BG3 has _mostly_ captured all of this! You want to play at higher difficulties? Consider an All-Cleric party with different gods and domains catered to each role; you can DOMINATE...

Shuckle really can't tank hits that well- sure, it has amazing defensive stats, but its HP stat is only barely higher than it's offenses, so whilst it might take less damage from hits, it's still taking big percentages of its hp off, if not one-shotting despite those defenses

Personally, I think Bastiodon is a better tank than Shuckle, especially with this Moveset of Rock Slide, Metal Burst, Taunt and Protect. Use Taunt to prevent your opponent from using status moves, Rock Slide for a STAB Rock Type Attack, Protect to avoid taking damage, and Metal Burst to do double damage against your opponent if they use an offensive move. And with it having the ability Sturdy and being the most defensive type combo of Rock and Steel, Bastiodon can tank a lot of physical attacks.

@@krvgames9258 Well, I'm not sure I'd agree that Rock/Steel is the most defensive type combo- two double weaknesses hurt (and I'd put Steel/Fairy as better)- but Bastiodon is certainly much better than Shuckle.

@@andrewgrabauskas In the first Generation, Rock was THE defensive type in all of Pokemon, especially considering each type was purely Physical or Special. Then when Gen 2 came, Steel took the title of most defensive type, but Rock was still pretty defensive. And with later Generations, you had a good selection of defensive Pokémon of both types, like Gen 3’s Aron line, Gen 4’s Shieldon line, Gen 5’s Ferroseed line (my personal favorite Steel type line),Gen 6’s Aegislash in its Shield form, and a lot of great defensive Rock and Steel types. Even Zamazenta, the mascot legendary of Shield, is defensive physically when in its Crowned Shield form.

I have nothing to say about the game, I'm just speaking on the name. "FTL: Faster Than Light," is a terrible name. I'm not going to type out all of the words, but... LSD, IT, ATM, LEO, SWAT, IA, NASA, NOAA..... That is a terrible name.
