A new unique where Hydra casts Fireball instead and benefits from all legendaries and uniques like the Gloves of the Illuminator and the Staff of Endless Rage would be awesome.

Imo the extea cast from hydra enchant is just not worth it. It takes a while to build up and doesn’t stack. I suggest using frozen orb Enchant but don’t put it on ur action bar. Spamming hydra will also spam frozen orb, but not for damage, u do it simply to apply vulnerable. Also spamming hydra helps because every time u cast it, u reset the attack timer on hydra heads, that’s y it feels stronger

Interesting interaction with tyraels...funny that it's the chest doing most of the damage instead of the hydra haha. I used fractured winterglass and frozen orb alongside hydra tempers and gear. Went more crit and vulnerable instead of burning, was better damage...but at that point...I wasn't sure if it was a hydra build anymore haha. Hydra needs more damage, even with the new tempers.

Hell yea bro! I played hydra on ptr. I felt like all the damage came from the chest piece though, even with 15 heads. Also, as an eternal player, a seasonal power cannot be what saves sorc. The game needs to be balanced on eternal first and then worry about seasonal mechanics.

If you use fractured winterglass and spam frozen orbs you can get 2 (maybe 3?) additional hydras to spawn from that which should up the damage quite a bit, and also give you a source of freezing / vulnerable.

@@KelfkaGaming I currently have (here in Season 5) 7-headed Hydras x 3 and one additional 5-headed. I have counted up to 8 Frozen Orbs + multiple Lightning Spears, multiple Ice Blades, and multiple extra Hydras from random Conjuration procs. I do not yet have Tyreal's Might or Harlequin's Crest, but I do have a Mythic Starless Skies. Gear is all at 8-9 Masterwork levels, none even close to their best possible base stats. With just one FO and 4 hydras, not counting anything else proc'ing and my crit chance over 50%, I can burst DPS often with over 5M and never run out of mana. Drop a couple Blizzards at 57% LHC (base LHC is over 55%) for it and the FO 40% vulnerable chance with multiple explosions (3 per orb) and the DPS spikes are insane. If the helm and chest would drop for me, end-game fights should be cake with trash mobs exploding into pieces of ice everywhere and bosses hardly getting a chance to fight back. Note that I never run a staff and always use a wand/dagger/sword with a focus for the extra affixes they allow (extra Hydra + extra FO). Frostburn gloves raised my cold and fire damage by ~200%+ as well (It dropped last night and I upgraded it to MW 8 before wearing it and though Attack Power dropped by 10K, my overall damage went up noticeably).

@@r3dr3drose ofc he can - but for many people (and this includes me as a absolute hydra enjoyer) it is quite missleading - and its unfortunately not hydra doing the whole damage here - there is no argument

for anyone reading this now, Hydra is probably the best leveling build in the game. You can play it one handed. Between the (+2 hydra heads temper) and the other tempers that drastically increase DOT fire damage, the +1 hydra spawn enchantment, and all the new aspects added that do AOE explosions and modify fire damage, you can clear any content in the base game including all pre-Durial bosses, NMs and Hordes. By the time you get to 100 you will have found all the gear needed to go bouncing fireballs with is legit nuts.

10+ heads with circle formation it's look weird for me. It's should rearrange to look more like a group. And no matter how many head we get, main strong damage is come from Tyrael's Might while hydra itself just have pretty weak damage. Give us back powerful hydra like D2 D3.

Keep the campaign going! I have fears that Blizzard will need everything based on bugs that were discovered during the PTR instead of focusing on the actual power of builds.

What did you mean with "Running in and out, so he doesn't have a gazillion life" ? at the pit boss. Can you "modify" his health somehow? (Sorry, new player). Also, is the +1 extra hydra Aspect a thing in S5?

Yeah the ptr was bugged so you had to run in and out to get the hp of the boss correct. That aspect is available in season 4

@KelfkaGaming it was crazy strong. Even with only 25 levels to work with, I killed the butcher with hydra and fireball and he never got close. Makes me sad when I think of how bad that nerf was. Not even a nerf, but it straight gutted the hydra

cool build, nice video. a quick note, on the chest, the angel's name is TYRAEL - the correct pronunciation is TEA (like hot tea / coffee to drink) and REAL (like real madrid, anunciating the AHL), so TEA-REE-AHL - he was one of the main characters of the diablo 3 story - the "fallen star" when he ripped off his wings in heaven and became mortal, then fell down to sanctuary like a meteor and destroyed the temple in tristram.
