Maybe it would have been scaled down, or been a variation of the Centipede Demon that made it in. Either way, I wonder what the lore would say about it. Maybe with the Taurus Demon on the bridge they were originally going for more of a "demon invasion" narrative, with demons creeping into the fallen Lordran. Honestly, while the Gargoyles are now somewhat iconic, I think I may have preferred another demon guarding the Bell. It would have served the narrative better than the gargoyles, who already seem a little out of place (to me at least).

@@Tcj333 I think the original idea was that each of the demons in Lordran are strategically assigned to specific points to stop undead from reaching the bells. Taurus blocks the exit to Undead Burg (and thus Undead Parish), Capra is holding the only key to the depths (and thus Blighttown), Quelaag guards the bell itself, and centipede would guard the other bell. There is one demon guarding the bell, and one guarding the path to it. For some reason they had to move Centipede, so that pattern gets broken.

putyograsseson Right? Slower weapons were almost unusable if you didn’t time their swings just right. Every little thing made you flinch, regardless of your armor in the original game. Wearing full Brushwood set? The enemy’s tiny broken sword doesn’t care. Hyperarmor is almost a necessity in modern standards of the formula now.

1. Good to see Gavlan 2. I’m fine waiting for elden ring, from the information we have about it is that it’ll be a new venture for the FromSoft team. And it’s best they take their time to make it right then rush it out. The demon’s souls remake is pretty much a way to satiate the communities needs until elden ring comes out. So I’ll be patiently waiting for the game, since I’ve already had practice with waiting for over a decade for a sequel of other series. And those companies made it worth the wait, just like FromSoft will too.

My theory is that Andre would make you a path to the tomb of giants after pushing the statue (for example after ringing both bells). In the game the area starts with dirt tunnel too so.. Even the path to the ToG is made for higher levels. So Andre could have been protecting you from those skeletons at the begining of your playtrough.

Of course there are always some people that will pretend they like something more than they do, but in most cases it just comes down to opinion. If anything, I feel like some people have a need to be negative towards any other from soft game than the game they like the most, though again that's just certain people. And to be fair that seems to be the case with certain people regarding any game.

I dont care when elden ring is out, as long as they do it right. I mean, whenever you see what Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, or Dark Souls 2 COULD had been if they had more time, budget, but mostly time, its a shame. I dont want a not finished lost izalith, sixth archstone, basically half of dark souls 2, etc. If it takes time... ok. but i want the full game, the full idea, the full experience miyazaki wants us to feel.
