I seen your name on Hamiltonville, I have a few tractors I am rebuilding/restoring. I hope to watch all your videos, this one is well done.

The Cajun Homesteader thats awesome. I appreciate it. I try to produce good videos on a budget. Recording all on my phone now. Eventually will upgrade. This quarantine has me with a lot of down time so figured I might as well make some v roll! I subscribed. I want to eventually get an old tractor and restore it.

Nice maintenance video. What model of tractor do you pull that with?
@BBLandServices4 жыл бұрын
Rockhill farm and homes was pulling it with a 3025e but then upgraded to a 2038r

Rockhill farm and homes oh yeah. It’s daylight and dark compared to my 3025e.

The most important advice that can be given for maintaining a slip clutch….if it is left outside for any length of time, remove the pro shaft/clutch assembly and store it out of the weather.

Sorry about an amateur question but I have to refer to my manuals for everything and it seems like the manual talks about using grade 2 bolt for the shear pin. In your video you use specifications for a grade 8 bolt. Should I be using a grade 8 bolt for a shear pin or using grade 8 specifications on a grade 2 bolt?
@BBLandServices3 жыл бұрын
You use a grade 2 shear bolt if you do not have a slip clutch. The slip clutch takes excess loads and does not break so you do not have to stop to change a broken bolt. So you use a grade 8 with the slip clutch.

Is it possible to grease the universal through the slip clutch cover and is there a trick to putting it back on if you take it off? The cover, not the universal.
@BBLandServices3 жыл бұрын
On the frontier I couldn’t without taking it off. My new MX5 cutter has a cut out that lines up and you can grease it in place. The more frequent you take it off the easier it is. Grease the shaft when you have it apart.

@@BBLandServices I took a 1 1/4" hole saw and made an opening directly over the grease fitting. Now I can grease the universal joint without removing the slip clutch cover.

I got a 3032e and my bolt broke and it's to far back it won't come forward.. I'm like wtf I can't put a bolt in if it won't come forward. Do Im very confused
@BBLandServices3 жыл бұрын
Which bolt?
@louisianapepper10183 жыл бұрын
The bolt for the bush hog. Shear bolt or the grade A bolt. I should of loosen up my clutch. But now the shaft went to close to the gear box and it won't come forward. I'm not understanding since in the video you just slide it on really easy

@@louisianapepper1018 probably cause some burs when it broke and that’s what’s holding it on. Probably going to have to persuade it a little.

Depends on how long it sat on the lot and if the dealer did a PDI that included slipping this clutch. I have gotten some that were locked up when I got them.

How important is the slip clutch cover? I hate messing with that thing and am tempted to leave it off.

Yes it is a real pain on the a$$. I’m glad my new MX5 has a metal on the flips up. It’s a safety think you could take off if you want the risk.
