I actually got Dead Rising's "7 Day Survivor" achievement. It was one of the last ones I unlocked before 1000/1000'ing the game -- the first game I did that with on the 360. The gameplay footage you guys used shows the right strategy: you collect both survivalist books and then stock up on the major healing items milk, OJ, and coffee creamer. However, it is possible to hang out on the roof I believe and not get attacked. There's a certain area where zombies don't spawn. So you literally just pull up the wristwatch on screen, go do something else for a bit, and drink some juice in-game once in a while. You do have to eventually go back into the mall and restock on items a couple times, but it's manageable. Just VERY tedious. Apparently the achievement is a big deal. Some of my friends at the time were impressed but I just blew it off, lol. I found Dead Rising's achievements for saving 50 people and having 8 women survivors following you at the same time to be MUCH harder.

I got this when it first came out one of my first 1000/1000. The kicker is the first time I was going for this achievment It was like day six and I needed to go restock food and the game froze when zoning lol. Got it the next day but I was so nervous it was gonna freeze again.

I got it too. IIRC I just was able to hang out in the movie theater with a ton of OJ. It actually was my 2nd attempt because my first attempt, I think I was like 12 hours in and wanted to play a little. Went outside and got stun locked by the clown boss. Kept hitting me while i was trying to get up. I couldn't believe it. So I was so pissed off I had to do it the next day.

Harder maybe, but seriously... 7 Day Survivor is just so freakn boring. When I read about it I stopped playing the entire game, because it felt like a waste of time. Could've beaten the game at least, but it kinda broke me. Rather play other games with fun achievements.

Wasn't expecting to see Europa Universalis here. Three Mountains requires an absurd amount of skill to pull off but it is doable. I would counter with Stellaris's 'Outside Context' where you must, by pure chance in a randomly generated galaxy, not only stumble across Earth, an Earth occupied by humans, and in the middle of a World War, but you must invade them before the nukes start flying.

Yeah i was surprised to see it on here too. I think sunset invasion achievement is harder than the 3 mountains because you also have to reform the religion which is hard in its self and require tons of patience, but not only that, you have to somehow invade Europe. Also gothic invasion is pretty difficult as well.

Outside context can be grinded with relative ease by setting up the galaxy the right way (no other empires, tiny galaxy, maximum hyperlanes etc). It takes a few hours but is very much doable. I think the decision to include Three Mountains was dumb, it is not the hardest or even the second hardest achievement in EU4. Eat you greens, True heir of Timur and arguably One faith (on the current patch) are more difficult

@@peterpan4038 If the video is called "impossible achievements", you'd expect it includes the most difficult achievement the games it mentions. EU4 does have a lot of extremely difficult achievements, but Three Mountains isn't even one of the hardest (it can be cheesed by relatively low skill level players using the Shogun vassal swarm strategy). Meanwhile something like Eat you greens is extremely difficult if you use exploity strategies (preventing age of absolutism from beginning) and outright impossible if you don't, so I think it's weird they chose the challenging but doable Three mountains instead of it

"The Shadows Rushed Me" on Max Payne 3. Complete the game in New York Minute Hardcore. So basically complete the entire game, both disks, in one sitting, without dying, under a time limit increased by kills, and on the hardest difficulty with no auto aim. I cried when I got that one.

FF9 is one of my favourite FF games but I really couldn't do the skipping rope minigame myself so did use remote play and a controller script to get that trophy. So I would congratulate anyone who can do that legitimately :)

Getting the script to work was actually harder than doing it legit, the fagging internet kept going out for over three days making me go insane cause every other trophy in the game is doable , No one can do it without a script due to new input lag etc I did it legit when I was 13 on the original. King of jump rope should have been an ultimate weapon for someone seriously or allowed you to skip parts of the game so you could still obtain Excaliber and then all the enemies' levels rescaled to your current level..

I actually got the Hail to the King Trophy on FFIX without having to using the script. What I did was that I remapped the X and O buttons on the controller to L1 and R1 through accessibility options in settings. Then (here's the crazy bit) I turned off the background music, either closed my eyes or looked down and counted each time I heard Vivi's feet hit the ground. The tricky part was the 200-300 jump segment since in that part, you have to double tap each button; but once you get past that part, 301-1000 is pretty much like the 100-200 segment where the tempo is fast. At that point its an endurance round.

My personal "nightmare" was the Diskun trophy in Super Smash Bros Melee, which involves completing an absurd number of (mostly extremely easy) tasks, one of which is beating the game without taking any damage. The Internet told me this was easiest to do on All Star Melee Mode by spamming Donkey Kong's area effect moves, and after trying a LOT of times because it was seriously a lot harder and more rng based than the Internet claimed, I finally got to the last round with this tactic. And hit an exploding barrel at the same time I killed the final opponent. Turned me off from the game for like a year. Later I did a no damage run on Classic mode without much difficulty as Falco, whose damage+knockback projectiles make it extremely easy to keep your distance from the opponents and still kill them on the easiest difficulty. Stupid Internet should've told me that.

One of the earlier Burnout games (it was either Takedown or Paradise) had an achievement where you had to upload crash replay to the EA servers, and your replay had to be voted #1 by the community every day for a full week. That was the hardest for me to ever get (never did), since it was less dependent on you and moreso on the public.

Of the Ultimate weapon completion challenges I thought the 100 lightning bolt challenge wasn't too bad. I think getting Waka's Blitzball stuff was far more time consuming and then there was Tidus's Chocobo challenge was more annoying to me. Never did the 1,000 Rope jump though so I can't say if it was better or Worse than the lightning dodging.

You can force the spawn of the lightning bolts in a specific spot, so then you can just turn on No Encounters and go back and forth there for about half an hour or so. I would advise just keep going until you fail as you don't put pressure on yourself. The jump rope challenge is another level of bullshit.

My friend and I discovered if you unplug or disconnect the controller during the Bladder of Steel achievement it won't register as a pause. Enjoy your breaks.

I did the "Hail to the King" achievement back on PSX, it took literally hours to get the inputs right but i was so proud of it. But the Remaster on Steam made me grab a script, its not the honest way but i did it once in my life and thats enough.

You eagerly look up, and down the street, hoping that those tortuous skipping little bastards haven’t already gone; but there was no need to worry, as you spot them immediately: still skipping through the many large puddles, just down the street from the cafe. You stroll down the street, towards the children, tightly clutching the item you just purchased; then, when you reach the skipping soda, you stop beside them, not even minding that they splashed you as you approached. As the jump rope goes over one of their heads, you swiftly make a grab for it, and cut it in two, with the item you purchased a moment ago: a very large pair of sharp scissors; the kid stares at you, a puzzled look on their face, but you ignore it, and do the same to the other child’s jump rope... Then, before either of them can ask “why the hell you just did that”, you casually walk away, sparking up a celebratory cigarette as you go; you take a long drag, closing your eyes, and exhaling with a moan of ecstasy; a satisfied smile on your face, as you make your way down the rain-soaked street...with a slight skip in your step... ...or something like that haha. I remember literally having to step with my feet in time with my presses to get into the zone. It was the switch to alternating fast and slow timing that took a while to get used to.

Raving Rabbids: Greatest Rayman Ever: Get 174000 points in score mode (you can only ever attain 173000) Cars Race-O-Rama: Overachiever: Get all other achievements (Achievement itself is actually broken) Arcania: Gothic 4: Master Chef: learn all recipes (one of the required recipes is unlearnable, breaking the achievement)

Got the 7 Day Survivor achievement in Dead Rising back in the day. I had made several to do so, after the first attempt I had realised that it required nearly 12 SOLID hours of playtime, the 2nd attempt in which the game crashed on me, and the 3rd attempt ended with me encountering a bug that if you go into a particular area after a certain time the game will freeze. My biggest achievement was getting the Big Boss Emblem on MGS4. That was an absolute nightmare thanks to the on-rails section of Europe. The achievement I'm most proud of as a gamer is getting 100% FC on The Devil went down to Georgia in Guitar Hero 3. It took me literal years of practice to get that song 100%.

Not that it's impossible, but in Ratchet And Clank PS4, there's a trophy that requires you to use Groovitron on EVERY kinds of enemies in the game. Worse part is, you are bound to miss maybe a few so to be very safe, you have to start all over, or think of an area you probably missed.

Me and my brother did the Rock Band 2 achievement. It did take all day, but you take breaks. You can't pause in the song, but you refrain from pushing 'A' to start the next song. Your arms get tired toward the end, but having a partner, you could build your meter to revive them if they are about to fail. Way easier than the others.

7 Day Survivor isn't that hard to get, you just have to set aside the whole day to do it. I still remember doing it on a day where I had nothing going on and just watched movies and organized my room while I intermittently drank orange juice and stood on an awning that the zombies couldn't get to me from. I started early in the morning and ended close to midnight if I remember correctly. No regrets one of my proudest achievements, and reminds me of a time where I could waste a day on a meaningless achievement. I've always wanted to get an endless setlist achievement in one of the Rock Band games, it's on my bucket list.

Another Achievement i thing is literally impossible is in DMC 5 where you have to earn all S ranks in the hardest difficulty Hell to Hell mode. Mind you one hit and you die and you enemies has full health good luck with that

The Stanley Parable has a couple of ridiculous ones, including one that requires you to not play the game for five years. There's also the "art" ending that, while not associated with an achievement, requires playing a particularly terrible and annoying minigame for four hours straight.

This one was really bad, I had to boost it. It doesn’t seem that bad on the surface, but you are in for a rude awakening when you try it. Everyone is super sweaty on starfighter assault and having cards makes it very unlikely you will die to one of those pleb ships. Hope you got it.

My hardest achievement was "nothing special" in L4D. You had to complete a campaign without taking any damage from special infected. And if a boomer vomit's on you, any regular zombie hit counts. We found a cheat that allowed us to only survive the last level without getting hit, and we found a room special couldn't get into for most of the horde rush, and it still took hours and hours and hours cause just running from that secret room to the helicopter was almost impossible as there are tanks and dozens of specials going after you. so dumb.

Damn, why the hate for Perfect Dark Zero? The 16 vs 16 multiplayer was downright epic for an opening day xbox 360 release. It had massive maps, several different multiplayer game modes that required unique strategies and weapons with multiple(sometimes even obscure) functions to serve in those strategies. The campaign offered single player, 2 player, and online 2 player with difficulties ranging from a sunday stroll through the park to so F-ing hard the completion achievement should have made this list. I guess the developers owe you an apology for not making a second re-skinned bond game? Which reminds me, one of the maps in PDZ was an actual map from 007 on N64. It even had the same weapon spawn points.

I did the 7 Day Survivor achievement in high school during one of my summer vacation days. It was done on the slim 360, so it didn't have the heating problems the og 360's had.

I got Dead Risings '7 Day Survivor' achievement. It was a little tough, but very doable for average gamers (like me). I went out early and collected as much pizza and orange juice as I possibly could and then camped in a little store, where I could shut the front door. Every 20 mins, I'd drink some OJ or eat some pizza, so I didnt starve and that was it. The game 'Haydee' (which is a pretty tough puzzle/platformer/shooter) has an achievement for completing the whole thing without taking any damage. Thats impossible.

I used to be a hardcore trophy hunter but since having two kids I just don't have the time and also cannot be bothered going for trophies that require endless grinds or online multiplayer because let's face it, all they are at the end of the day is a few pixels on a screen.

Mine is rather recent, I was going for the Valhalla Hills platinum trophy (a mediocre strategy game) which requires you to play *250 rounds* and get *1000 Vikings to Valhalla* (100'000 Honor is required. Enemies and building gets from 5 to 25 each). I had done *249* rounds and had *869* Vikings to Valhalla. On the 250th round the game decided to *delete my save file.* Weeks of progress gone. No Platinum trophy for me.

In Diablo III, I got an achievement for killing 50,000 enemies. That's probably one of my best achievements in any game. Also, I have completed Castlevania Portrait of Ruin 1000% not only once but twice. In addition, I have completed it with about 997-998% completion a few more times. There are some tasks that can't be done if you've already sold the item needed for it.

Some difficult to impossible achievements I've encountered during my completionist adventures. Stardew Valley; Fectors Challenge. You had to beat the game without dying. "Oh well that's what you're meant to do already right?" No, you can get multiple lives and beat the game, but I know professionals who couldn't get the achievement while using mods for infinite money/bullets/speed. It's a 0.7% achievement. Ghost in Dishonored isn't IMPOSSIBLE, especially with saving (Though sometimes you have to redo an entire level.) 1,000,000% on Binding of Isaac, you have to 100% three different files, that means every challenge, everything on the sitcky note with every character, and every item, in ALL THREE files. Honor Mode on Divinity Original Sin/Divinity Original Sin 2. Perma Death, saves when you die, only one save file. Keeping in mind these games are 60 - 200 hours long each, if you're not speedrunning. The 100% achievement in Super Meat Boy, I know the Super Beard Bros got that.

Where The Water Tastes Like Wine has the worst type of achievement on Steam. It's specifically designed to be unachievable because it's thematic that you will never find a place where water tastes like wine, and chasing it is pointless.

The only game I ever 100% the Achievements on was Lego City Undercover. I worked it out so the final one I would get was "Mr. Gold." That way the rarest of all minifigs would be smiling out at me whenever I picked the game. But I did get the "Go Outside" Achievement on The Stanley Parable.

the 1000 jumps in ff9 wasnt that bat to achive back on the ps1 or ps2 but in the remastered version its nearly impossible - same goes for the thunder plain in ffx

Another Final Fantasy one that's "impossible" to get is a variation of "server shut down", but not exactly. FFXV has a multiplayer mode called Comrades. Although it's multiplayer focused, you can play it offline and the trophies are theoretically obtainable. However, Comrades used to be part of FFXV proper, but it was later turned into a standalone game. Which means the trophies associated with the original version of it are no longer obtainable because the mode was removed from the game in favour of the standalone version. The only way to get them now is to trick your console into downloading an old version which still has Comrades included.

@@AlmightyPolarBearAt least these trophies aren't required to get the platinum. Comrades was DLC, so its trophies don't count towards it. Just annoying that it will never list your trophy completion as 100%.
