Wow this was amazingly helpful! I much prefer this method to the 'pull a long loop' method to knit a small circumference on a long needle. Thank you!

As a newbie knitter (I'm a crocheter who's taught myself to knit recently) I did my first ribbed neck 2 days ago (i hate the look of crochet ribbing so just added the knit rib to my crochet jersey). I managed to do it & it actually came out pretty good but using DPNs wasn't the easiest - but this is a game changer for me! So a huge thank you! I'm subbing too bcoz I don't want to miss out on any other great vids of urs! Much thanks, ur kiwi neighbour xx

I tried it and it doesn't work. Is it possible that the metal part of my needles is too long and I need to use magic loop? I hate magic loop :(

I don't think I understand what we are going to accomplish doing this.

I'll try this. I don't like magic loop. To me, magic loop is counterintuitive 😄

magic loop is just circular needles.

Ok I don’t think this is standard traveling magic loop. Traveling magic loop I know is when you have the standard magic loop where you take out half the cable in half point, plus the little loop that you pull out from the starting point minus the several stitches so that you aren’t knitting against a cable. Because you pull that loop part out every time, that one starting point loop always travel around and you would need to use a beginning of the round marker. This is just regular magic loop without pulling a loop out on the other end.
