Surya was ridiculed and made fun of earlier in his career. He was regarded as just a nepo kid with no acting talent, can't dance, doesn't have the hero look.. There are a lot of stories on set of him being ridiculed on set by the crew members and directors. Even he mentioned in few interviews that he wanted to give up acting. First few movies was considered biggest flop in his career. He struggled for years until he acted in Bala directorial in a film called nandha. it was his first proper hit and audience reception started to change as he started to do more challenging and different kind of roles. Building his career from scratch.. Rest is history. He is one of the most versatile actor in tamil cinema.

This video is basically the antithesis of what happened with Vijay Deverakonda. Great films like Arjun Reddy and Geeta Govindam boosted his career and made him soon-to-be superstar. Suddenly he started doing crap movies, being labelled as misogynists by online feminists for his roles and then liger happened. Man 💔 I hope Vijay does a great comeback, knowing it's not late for him to bounce back. Always a fan of him. Wishing the best for him. ❤️🔥

Ajiths case was quite interesting he debuted in a era in tamil cinema where only dark skinned and Brown skinned actors were considered superstars and extremely white good looking actors like Ajith , Aravindswamy and prashanth were considered as just chocolate boys who were stereotyped only for romantic roles but only Ajith broke the myth out of those 3 white skinned heroes to become a commercial mass hero infact he ia first in his generation of actors to get mass hero image with Amarkalam and Dheena in 2001 its not everyday you see an actor suffered initially because he was too good looking 😅

Bhai i personally feel Junaid Ansari from Dishoom is a much more cool and funnier character of Varun than his Seenu in Main Tera Hero. Objectively it's a better film as well. Unpopular opinion but Dishoom is one of my favourite bollywood action movie. It has slick action, good comedy and great chemistry between John and Varun. I wish we could get a boddy-cop franchise with Kabir and Junaid's characters or atleast a Dishoom sequel. ❤️

FaFa definitely worked on the craft. Never used to be a fan even with his comeback films- the cameo in Pramani, the horror film segment in Kerala Cafe etc. But over the years-22FK, Annayum Rasoolum, Diamond Necklace, Amen, Artist and then on and on- FaFa entered the magical territory- He made audience forget about the existence of the actor - only the characters pertained. He kept juggling between genres effortlessly and aceing in all- action, crime, comedy- something Mohanlal did in the 80s and 90s. There's never a dull moment with him- even in bad films, his perfomance stands like a pillar- With Vikram and Avesham, he got his own fan base in other states- something only DQ managed to have till now.

Vijay has faced several downs in his career. After the success in early 2000s, he had a string of flops in the 2010s. He was massively trolled and he was known to have some issues with the ruling parties or people who keep putting cases buying a stay in his film release. He was even made to sit in the last row in an award show. His first decent hit after a while was Kaavalan with Asin and then came Thuppakki. Man! What a comeback. It was never downhill after that. From bring trolled to almost written off to now being compared to Rajinikanth himself, man has come a long way. He got mainstream fame thanks to Ghilli and Pokkiri which were remakes but that's not what made his career what it is today. He is where he is now because of his post Thuppaki era with some hits, misses and some milestone movies/characters. PS: I'm not a Vijay fan at all. I just love a good comeback story. Also not even going into the topic of acting range and movie reviews. This is completely about the fandom he built.

Kathal Kondein of Dhanush...I still regard as one of his best performances. In fact the movie was a hit, and his looks attributed a lot to the success o the film. His eyes, body movement.....a huge star was in making. he was the best casting forthat role, and after the film's success he never looked back. He broke all hero stereotypes with his heart-breaking performance. Thulluvadho Ilamai was his debut work. This film was also a hit. Both these films were directed by his brother. Do you know, Vikram started his career as an extra in Malayalam films, doing insignificant roles? Movie Sethu (remade as Tere Naam) changed his destiny. Same was the story of Vijay Sethupathy who struggled many years with such roles during initial phase of his career
