From a storyline perspective,The Montreal Screwjob only broke kayfabe in the sense that it pointed out Vince Mcmahon as the true owner of WWF (not Jack Tunney). It would make perfect sense for that event to have occurred as the unjust end to a storyline. Simply put, Vince didn't want Bret to beat Shawn Michaels for the WWF championship with the chances of him walking into WCW television with the belt so he simply screwed him out of it. From a "work" perspective, it was essentially a shoot event that didn't actually break kayfabe.

RAW came to Toronto one time when I was younger, and my dad took me there to watch some matches. We managed to get front row seats and Undertaker happened to be one of the wrestlers that night. After a Smackdown in Seattle I saw Booker T, the Rock, Triple H, Lance Storm (and whomever he was partnered with under the Team Canada banner) all doing spin-a-runies in the ring together (even though they were fueding at the time) trying to get the Undertaker to do one (whom after 20 minutes or so of each wrestler doing their best spin-a-runies kicked Triple H into a Rock Bottom then drove off on his Harley). Seriously the best live show I've ever seen.

Kayfabe was one of the best things pro wrestling had. It's so much less interesting without it. That said, they can still do a lot of entertaining things of the unbelievable or supernatural sort as long as they go in 100%. None of that bullshit where they have their own announcers calling the gimmicks crap or their wrestlers going on Twitter to destroy any immersion. Regardless of how smart fans have gotten that doesn't mean we have to suddenly completely give up on making interesting stories and characters. So many "superstars" just look like generic guys from the gym and don't draw me in at all. The storylines and promos are high school drama levels bad, and not in a funny way where I look forward to it. Old person rant

+KanRaf101 As long as it is relevant to the topic in question, it would be even worse for them to leave it out, just because you happen to get a little tired of hearing it. Facts are stubborn things sometimes.

I listened to a shoot interview with Meanie just a few days ago on the One Night Stand '05 incident. According to Meanie, JBL was pissed off that Meanie had been saying stuff about him on the internet. The two had a chat backstage shortly afterward to clear the air and have been on good terms ever since.

Does Iron Sheik and Hacksaw Jim Duggan getting arrested together counts?

The Barrie Molson Centre is not in Montreal. It's in a different province near Toronto. It's like referencing the O2 arena and showing a picture of an arena in Cardiff.

I'm not doing this to call you out. But in all seriousness. Why do you guys keep reuploading your videos? Does it have to do with copyright?

Now I see why a lot of people dont like whatculture. Cant even get kayfabe right. "The portrayal of events within the industry as real; the portrayal of professional wrestling and the accompanying storylines as not staged or worked." For example, when Pill used Heenan as a shield and Heenan was freaking out, that wasnt breaking kayfabe but instead added onto it. It added to the "realism" and that accomplished it even if it was unscripted. Breaking kayfabe doesnt equal unscripted.
