Every time I tell someone in person that Kurt angle was the greatest wrestler of all time their memory immediately goes back to the 01-02 invasion time and they shake their heads, they say no. I gotta remind them of Kurt in TNA. His god level performance, his matches with sting, styles, Christian, joe, the main event mafia, his intense af heel run as TNA world champion and IWGP heavyweight champion at the exact same time. They remember and they go “oh fuck! Yeah main event mafia!”

I can't stand how people knock Goldberg for what happened by accident to Bret. Bret's supposed to be "the best" and yet he couldn't block the kick that he probably knew was coming? Come on...It's called wrestling, and things happen. People get hurt. Now that's an amazing thought. I'm just tired of people whining about it, especially since Goldberg explained he didn't mean to hurt Bret seriously and apologized. At the end of the day, if you don't want to get hurt, stay out of the ring, especially with Goldberg!
@MrDevinAndrews Жыл бұрын
I really hate that everyone bought into Bret's claim that Goldberg hurt him. I'm no Goldberg fan, in fact I can't stand him, and Goldberg injured other people throughout his career, but Bret wasn't one of them. The whole thing is fabricated because Bret can't fathom that he made a mistake and hurt himself. Then, with Bret being who he is and being so respected, then combine that with Goldberg's reputation, and no one questioned Bret's claim. The thing is, if you watch the match, Bret gets hurt much earlier than *The Kick* by not getting the ring post figure four on right and dropping onto the concrete floor head first. It takes him a long time to get up from that she he's not right for the rest of the match. Then, when the kick happens, if that did contribute to the concussion, that's on Bret. Goldberg didn't throw that kick any harder than he should have and Bret didn't get his hand up to protect himself. Watch Sheamus or Drew McIntyre or Bryan Danielson. They all kick very hard and don't hold back at all. The reason they aren't handing out concussions left and right is because their opponents protect themselves. Bret being a 21 yr+ year vet at that point should've known better. It's possible that the head injury previously in the match contributed to it, but ultimately that's not on Goldberg. Don't take my word for it, though. Go back and watch the match. You'll see exactly what I'm talking about. It really is a shame about Bret & his career being cut short because of that, and I truly empathize for everything he's gone through. Unfortunately, those occurrences and Bret's disposition that he's infallible have led him to go through his life believing he's a victim and that the world is against him. I hope that someday he's able to reflect on his life and focus on the good instead of being stuck in the negativity.
@lordlobezz176911 ай бұрын
Your completely wrong. Bret hit his head on the floor because Goldberg didn’t grab his feet when he dropped down. Watch any figure 4 on the ring post and every guy grabs the foot of the person so they don’t smash there head on the floor. Then after that he kicks him in the head. Goldberg gave Bret 2-3 concussions that match
@lordlobezz176911 ай бұрын
Your also completely wrong about Bret not protecting himself, dud you don’t know wrestling or your a Bret hater. Goldberg extends his leg and doesn’t even look to see where he’s kicking, he kicks Bret right in the temple. Bret gets his hand up and Goldberg foot wraps around and nails him. Goldberg sucks and didn’t deserve his success because he didn’t like the wrestling business. If he liked the business he would have got trained and learned the craft. Instead of being an egotistical asshole who couldn’t wrestle a lick and wanted to hurt everyone. Why was this good for pro wrestling? A mad man who didn’t care if he injured his opponents, thought he was the best and never wanted to lose. Total lack of respect and Goldberg should never be considered a great pro wrestler or champion because he was never good. I met Bret at a Giant Eagle grocery store in a suburb of Pittsburgh in the mid 90’s. I was browsing the bill candy section, (they still had it back then), and I saw a man picking root beer barrels out, unwrapping them, throwing the barrels away and eating the wrapper. I was perplexed, I asked him, “What gives?” He told me there is enough flavor stuck to the wrapper to assuage his sweet tooth and not grow a lumpy assSo brilliant! Changed my relationship with candy for the rest of my life. I started doing the same thing, within 6 months I had a major bowel obstruction and had to have 6 feet of my intestines removed, along with my colon. I now make bowel movements in a colostomy bag, but I never gained another pound and was able to kick my diabetes. That man eating the wrappers is, was, and always will be my hero. That man was Bret Hart.

Love that Kurt keeps Chris Benoits' name alive.. He was my favorite wrestler and hero. Wasn't even a close second. He was #1 in my heart. I"ll never forget waiting for Raw to start and that 'in memory of' picture opening the show.. I was paralyzed. I balled my eyes out. And then to hear the news that followed. I can truly define that time being the end of my child innocence. Almost 20 years later, I now realize how impactful it was to my mental health to lose my childhood hero like that during childhood. This was one of many things that factored into my adult self, who suffers severely with suicidality and C-PTSD.. It's vital to take care of your brain from physical and mental injuries. And have empathy for those that have them.. and enough compassion(especially for men) to let them know its ok to not be ok, to seek help, and be help by showing that you are truly there for them with no judgment. That could save the lives of SO many people. People who often have the biggest hearts with the most to give others.. people like Chris.. Gone but never forgotten. RIP Chris, Nancy, and Daniel Benoit🙏🏼🕊🕊🕊
