I would argue not a single trend started out of nowhere because ppl just decided that something is trendy. Most of the time it's companies who sell you the trend OR rich people doing something and the common folk copying it. When we talk about "the culture" influencing trends, we are talking about rich people/celebrity culture.

I 100% agree with you both that the IPSY trends made wayyyy more sense than the Harper’s Bazaar trends. The amount of inside jokes between you two that are revealed as you record cracks me up!! Also, Kevin, a headache around the eye area that extends down to the back of your head/neck is typically due to sinus pain as the ethmoid sinuses are behind your eye & drain toward the back of your head, just fyi. I didn't get into make-up until probably my mid-40s. At that point in life, most "trends" aren't for people of that age. I just do what I want. I'm of the philosophy that life's too short for neutral make-up so I always do colorful eyeshadow. For Thanksgiving two years ago I did a matte red on the outer part of the eye with a gold shimmer in the middle/inner part. I got several compliments on it!

Omg I was 7 months pregnant (so I was huge), and I choked on beef and broccoli Chinese food leftovers. I was home alone with my 18 month old, and you could hear the air hissing around the food because it was lodged. I called 911 because if it moved a little, it would totally block my airway. They couldn't do the heimlich because I was so pregnant.... they had to use this gadget in the ambulance to grab the lodged food. Such a terrifying experience, then my poor little boy had to see the whole thing. I got one of those life vac choking devices you can use on yourself. That saved my ass a few months ago. Let me see... Switzerland is a nature wonderland. beautiful air, laked, gorgeous mountains & vallies. If the sun is out, the sun is very strong, be careful😅 Famous area of German speaking Switzerland would be Lucerne & Zurich, French part I like is Lausanne, you see the city of Evian (France) just other side of the lake🥰 or hit southern part of Switzrrland where people speak Italian, Ascona, Locarno or Lugano... If you got time, don't miss Zermatt where Matterhorn is. I love going to the lake, sitting by the nice restaurant or cafe, drinikng glass(es) of italian wine, or nice cup of espresso... take your time, enjoy the nice walk... most Swiss mountain are reachable my cable cars, trains, funicular. go up and enjoy the breath taking view from up there! Food are different from regions... German part is more meaty and cheesy but delicate and nice! Everywhere you can eat amazing real Italian pizza😋 hope the weather won't be too cold when you are here, slowly we are heading to fall & winter!😊

We have an old Pizza Hut turned into a mechanic shop 😂. They had so many people coming in wanting to order pizza they started a food carry out in the shop that hits so hard with the best food. How convenient to be waiting for an oil change or whatever and you can get a fantastic sandwich or tacos 🎉
