With any type of header exhaust scavenging upgrade, I rarely hear people talking about tuned equal length pipe work when upgrading OEM gear. In my experience with a naturally aspirated engine. Only focusing on Larger diameter pipework and mandrel bends. Can often lead to flat spots or unwanted resonance at hwy cruising speeds. I have been fortunate enough to be able To experiment with a few different types of cars over the years.

The pipes on these cars on the way the exhaust is designed it works a little differently. These are just collector pipes underneath the engine, the manifold is actually built into the cylinder head itself and dumps directly into a catalytic converter. Exhaust pulses have largely evened out into regular exhaust flow by the time they get down to these merge pipes. Calibrated length of the primary tubes isn't really as significant as you might think. Benefit to these pipes is the larger diameter and efficient merge. Power band is altered by moving the merge closer or farther from the engine but primary tube being equal length is much less important

was looking online and i saw an atlp j pipe that said “catted version” probably a dumb question but will that come with a cat on it that i can pretty much swap out or will i have to cut off the oem cat and weld it on

Yes, will come with a cat. Wouldn’t recommend it though. There’s no point in getting the J-pipe if you keep the cat on.

How much HP/TQ does this add to a 2015 J35Y1 Accord Sedan. Mine is stock with just a K&N replacement filter.

These pipes gain between 8-15 hp depending on the spec and supporting mods.

That is because none exist. The J32A2 has a more conventional header setup.

@@Heeltoe. What do you mean by "more conventional header setup"? I thought a j-pipe was just a bolt on exhaust component that is shaped like a J. The 2003 CL does have that kind of pipe on the exhaust shaped like a J, but it's it called the A or B pipe. The pipe is replaceable with a bigger free flowing pipe but it's made by P2R. and the size of the pipes along with the header are too big for my preference. So, I was looking for alternatives. Thanks for replying.

Why didnt u guys have the same Stock flange on your j pipe.. but instead u guys want exhaust leaks later. And we all know Honda RARELY have exhaust leaks from the flanges because of there genius indentation design

An o-ring gasket design would be awesome yes, but they do cost more to manufacture and we needed to increase the size of the piping to give it performance benefit. If we were going to use the same flanges as the factory then we would be stuck using the same small size. Also, these flanges don't leak either. You're completely wrong and a little out of line to tell people that these are going to leak over time because they're not going to. We've been making exhaust pipes for 20 years and never had a problem with a gasket just randomly starting to leak.

A 3rd cat is optional with this pipe. The cat is incorporated with it.
