Cicak Kobeng This is me. If I feel comfortable in a group I can be very extroverted. However, I find that I have to observe the group if I don’t know anyone in it before I start to chime in. I just can’t jump into a conversation without checking first through observation to see if there are any other people in the group that I would feel comfortable talking with. I related to almost all of the signs. I used to think I'm anti-social or that people didn't like me. Now I understand that I'm an introvert that loves doing some things alone. And I love it. The problem is that all these keep me away from friendships, as people think I'm boring or so close. Maybe they're not able to know me very well because of this. I want to be myself and have a small group of friends that would accept me for who I am.

If I’m at a social get together, I’ve found it helps to know what time I’m going home, then I can relax more. I realised I was an introvert while I was attending a lecture on the topic. I’m a teacher, and the lecture was designed to help us understand introverted students better. I ended up understanding myself more clearly, as well. It certainly helps ease awkward situations, now I can put a name on the root of my anxiety, and can explain it to my family, colleagues and friends.

Introvert people are the ones who always misunderstood based on my experienced. I consider my self as an introvert because I prefer being alone than socializing people whom I cannot trust. I also dont like noisy places like parties but I love listening my baby's cry. I limitedly talk to people. That's why they always misunderstood me and my actions. yeah sign of being introvert base on my experience.😂 1. you rarely socialize to a big group of people 2. you are uncomfortable when ur around of so many people. 3. you want a quet place to breath and to relax. 4. Yep, totally agree with all of that. As an introvert, the thing that freaks me out the most is the thought of having to cook for guests, which I don't do at all now. I USED to have dinner parties, cook for 8-10 people, but now the thought of that makes me almost want to go hide under the bed and pretend I'm not home! Maybe it's life's experiences that have turned me into an introvert, but I LOVE my solitude, and thankfully I live in a place that is so quiet you can almost hear the grass grow. I love it!

I’m an introvert and I hate talking to people. But I also hate texting or speaking with people on the phone. For example when someone texts me, unless it’s something urgent, I read the message and then mark as unread, because I don’t feel like continuing a conversation because I find it boring. Likewise, when an unknown number calls me, I never answer. I also get so offended when people I know call me without asking. I hate speaking on the phone. Just leave me alone! And if you need me so bad just leave me a text message And i will reply and that’s it, end of the conversation. Gosh I hate interacting with people so much. I only like people when I need something from them lol.

Tell me about it. I'm very opposite from my mum too! She's the kind that cannot keep quiet for a minute. I'm the kind that desperately needs quiet. And with the current COVID-19 situation, 99% of the time stuck home. In the past, used to only sees her 1-2hours or so. Now, it's 10 times or more from that! I'm starting to constantly lock myself in the room. Snaps easily. Up to several breakdowns each day. Before COVID-19, none of these happens. :'(

I am an introvert, but I do like going out to events that I am interested in. I also like to be with people and am energized by them only if I have good chemistry with them and we are talking about a serious subject with no small talk. I hate small talk. But being with people who I am not clicking with or they are just talking on a superficial level leads me to shut down. I feel lonely in these circumstances. I am fine though going to a movie or a sports event by myself. I enjoy the crowd and the excitement. I agree completely about having constant inner monologue going. In fact, when I am by myself and sometimes out, I talk to myself openly. I am just thinking out loud. I do practice interactions with people. Many times I can head off problems rehearsing a conversation or a presentation--by the way, I love public speaking. I prefer public speaking in front of a group of strangers to a casual conversation with people I don't know. I can control the interaction as I report on what I have thought through in private.

I fit in with pretty much everything in the video except the writing. Many jobs I've had over the years have been solitary and I think that kind of explains why I have always considered myself a "night owl". The "inner monologue" has been going on with me for about as long as I can remember. Since I retired several years ago, I am much more secluded. The only really "social" activity I ever do is church. Every now and then, I find an excuse to not make it there, even tho I enjoy going. I was married for almost 30 years but my wife passed away over 8 years ago. I, for the most part have felt little to no inclination to date or get involved again. I don't recall ever thinking I was lonely since then. I do have siblings that live close enough to get together with them and that is always great but after a few hours I'm usually ready to get back home. I have a large movie collection. That and KZbin are probably my biggest distractions.

I was always been a happy and comfortable person as an introvert.. but now there is literally NO ONE left in my life. No close friends (only one which i will lose in near future beacuse of my weird behaviour) , not close to relatives, can't explain to family, hated by everyone around(i mean it seems like they hate me) etc etc. These things really made me stress sometimes and i talk sooooo much with myself i mean freaking soo much like most of the time i talk to myself and my mother thinks it's increasing to a level that it can affect my mental health maybe😅💔

I didn't know how to explain to them until I saw this video. now I can proudly tell them that I am not being lazy or arrogant, but I am being myself. I'm partially introvert, though not fully. I find most companies have no idea how to deal with an introvert. You need to join in, you need to network , you need to ask. Not we should share information beyond our networking circle. But the again when they share more openly it all sales waffle that means nothing. I'm not interested and switch off. But what do you achieve...

Can definitely relate to this one. When I left my last employer under somewhat acrimonious conditions, I got into a discussion/argument with my boss who felt that I was an unfriendly person and not a good team player. I thought that was pure BS and told him so. When we both calmed down a little I told him that he seemed to expect me to be someone I’m not, i.e., that my true nature is somewhat introverted but he seemed to think that everyone should be an extrovert like him. This conversation confirmed to me that I made the right decision to leave this company. When he thanked me for staying on long enough to get through year-end fiscal closing and to train my replacement I told him (with very little to lose at this point) that the only reason I did it was for the money, not out of some sense of loyalty or affection for the company. For some reason, that didn’t go over very well 🤪🤪🤪
