Uber drivers campaign to force Uber improving base pay. Simple plan of two steps, all the drivers to commit with.. 1. Reject any delivery of 3$ or $4 no matter what the distance is. 2. Do not hit cancel button for orders you don't want, just wait until it times out. Once customers start feeling the delay from accepting their orders, they will start complaining, Uber will listen to them. Please share the message with all of your friends and social media.

I actually have everything on that list + wet wipes/first aid kit/napkins, . I have just about 30,000+ trips if you dont come up with a list like this at that point something is definitely wrong with that driver. I'm 5 years in and going strong, thanks for all the great videos and assistance your platform provides to drivers such as myself who've taken the risk by leaving their past jobs in order to embark on thousands of journeys that start off with strangers in our rearview mirrors eventually becoming good friends and in some cases.......shhhhhhhh will let that one be your story. anyway I really do appreciate you guys continue spreading the wisdom.

Wet wipes, pajamas, and a change of clothes is very helpful. One time I finished my shift and got a flat tire. I called roadside assistance. The only tow truck they could get for me didn't have room for a passenger and they were going to charge me $500 for a 75 miles trip after business hours. So I slept in my car. Having pajamas and a change of clothes helped a lot. I was able to use wipes to clean up for the night, pajamas for the night, and some clothes to change into the next morning. The decision to put those things in the bottom compartment of my trunk (where spare tires used to be) helped a lot. It allowed me to go to Discount Tire and get a new set of tires the next morning without smelling dirty. Also a large fast food drink cup from McDonald's is very helpful. I'm a female Uber driver so peeing when a public restroom isn't available isn't as easy as it may be for a guy. At night restroom options are not very plentiful and we ladies have to expose our butts to pee. That cup allowed me to tilt my steering wheel up and out of the way, my seat as far back and low as possible, squat forward, place the cup below me, pee in it, and wipe with wet wipes before pouring the pee out in some shrubs in the parking lot. I learned a lot from that night. Now I always have a large McDonald's cup handy when driving at night as well as the pajamas and change of clothes in the bottom compartment of my trunk. After all, situations like that night don't schedule themselves.

I always get compliments from my riders on my car decorating. I love the bling on my mirror edging. I have purse hanger’s hanging from the headrest of the back of my front seats which are bling too. I protect my back seat with a shower curtain cut out to fit snug on my backseat to protect it from spill’s.Over the plastic shower curtain, I have a sofa throw furry blanket in colors that match my car. I keep a large Lysol spray can visible. My riders always compliment me over the cleanliness and bacteria protection. A happy good morning or good evening with a smile 😊 never fails me. I get my tips. Plus super polite riders.

The one thing thing that I would add to the kit is nitrile gloves...In the event you have a biohazard spill to clean up, it's always good to keep you hands from being contaminated.

I clean my car daily, wipe everything down, vacuum the seats and floor covers, wipe down door handles, and get a car wash usually once a week(i live in an apt).I made over 250 in tips last week(5 days). Also, auto tire inflator is very key if you live in an area that has lots of extreme changes in temps and weather. Saves you gas, which saves you money. Also, hand sanitizer.

I keep a bucket in my car for the after bar riders. So far only needed it once. But it's nice to have something toilet sized that can be moved when needed. Have gotten complements on how smart that is. (Like I don't know😂) the 24 hr sanitizer I use stays in view. Am currently waiting on seat side organizers from Amazon. I just started doing rides, coming from Uber eats, so getting used to not being able to have my own belongings in my vehicle is an adjustment but I missed people! I'm friendly and hilarious get tipped about 85%. But I just started rides 1 month ago. Appreciate the tips for the young ones who wouldn't know otherwise😊

You need AAA. It's a yearly purchase and it goes a long way in the event something major happens to your car. Also, the seat belt cutter/ window breaker. A major safety necessity.

My Kia Soul comes with a organizer in the trunk already, love it! My add to the list would be not to assume your spare tire is already inflated to the recommended capacity, need to check at least every 3 months an maybe do it when getting oil changed.

I carry Tylenol , Aleve, and Motrin to be helpful to someone who isn't feeling well and in a bad mood. Airline passengers coming off a long flight really appreciate it. Also tissues, hand sanitizer and baby wipes.

I had an organizer with my cleaning supplies, lysol, febreeze, lint/hair roller, wipes, towel, tissues. But it never failed, I'd end up with a ride with more people and needed the front seat, so I'd either have to move it from the front passenger floor to the trunk or not enough room for that in the back with their luggage. So I eventually just took it out. I have a kia soul so there's not much in the way of storage space. I put what I can below the trunk floor but it doesn't have much room. Especially for all those fluids you mentioned.

All good stuff. I have had people get out to puke, once because of food borne illness. I also keep rolls of toilet tissue for this purpose. Sometimes they get puke on their hands. Toilet tissue has been a lifesaver for me in these instances!! I also have a blue folder not just for insurance and registration but for the inspection report as well. I know it's gotten cliche, but bottles of water I think is real important. Even if they decline it they still feel special. Everyone getting off work takes the water, but not necessarily going to work!

You failed to mention in the event a passenger makes a major mess in your car (spills or throws up), Uber and Lyft will reimburse you for cleaning expenses. Make sure you take a picture or dash cam footage as evidence when you report.

Pro-Clip is best for phone holder. In Las Vegas, a suck to the window holder doesn’t work. Heat on the window expands air, kills the suction and your looking for the phone on the floor. Same with the camera in ‘Vegas. Affix it to the car.

Great Video! I am happy to say I use a few of the items you mentioned and will definitely be adding a dash cam for the interior of my ride 8) I would also add two items: A GPS Tracker Device hidden in your car. I have been using my "Tracki" GPS Device the last few Uber Days/Nights and it's great! My Tracki connects to Cellular Towels and Satellites throughout the World so I always know where my car is. Plus, I can plot out my mileage, setup Geo-Fences, share my exact location with loved ones through the app, and finally, maybe the most important thing, in case someone jacks my ride, I can locate my car's location immediately. Finally, and maybe not for every Uber Driver, but I carry a Self Defense Spray which is non-lethal. Again, just a peace of mind but I do end up in areas where I need to be on alert. Hopefully, I never have to use. FYI, my spray as invisible ultraviolet (UV) dye so the suspect can be identified in case they flee the scene of the crime. 😎

I have a small can of lysol that I spray after I have coughing rides and spray it throughout the day after rides. Target started selling small cans that fit nicely in the door pocket. I carry an emergency kit as well fully stocked.

I scotch guard my seats and got rubber floorboard mats that can hold at least a 24 fl. oz spill a lint roller is handier than you'd think and with it being flu season disinfectant wipes as well as cough drops are always on hand

I have seat covers. I also have roadside assistance but never used it while driving Uber. Been driving off and on and part- time since 2019. Mostly on at first. My car had 5 miles when I bought it and started driving. I think the fee for cleaning if someone throws up, is a big deterent. I've had to pull over a couple of times. I do keep the cleaners, paper towels and basics. I'm not mechanically oriented. Just keep the car in good shape. Most problems are with nails in the tires. Use a patch and not a plug.

A thin travel blanket or sheet is great. You can help warm up the passengers whenever they're cold (usually on cold days). It's very helpful if your heater isn't the best or needs to be repaired. And since it's thin you can fold it up and easily stow it away when you don't need it.

if you're worry about your car breaking down, just get AAA Gold member ship, so that you can get your car towed up to 150 miles to the garage of your choice. No need to carry so much dead weight which dramatically reduces th mileage of your car.

Great as always Chris! The only thing I have that you don't was a small air pump. I have a little airhawk. With the potholes we have in Buffalo and Rochester this came in handy a few times. The tire was able to hold the air long enough to get to the shop saving time and money on a tow truck.

Mini vacuum not needed. I go into a car wash and without washing my car I use the vacuums for free. You want a portable battery jumper, an actual spare tire with an actual wheel that matches your other wheels, along with jack and tire iron.

I’m curious where you’re storing all of this in your car? If you go to the airport with three people and three of their luggage, they need your entire trunk. There is no room for all those extra fluids and jumper cables and anything that does not fit underneath in the spare tire well I have a compression gun and a hydraulic jack in my trunk and I have to move it regularly to the front seat to compensate for luggage. Not to mention all of that stuff weighs a ton and affects your gas mileage. Get your car serviced regularly and stop carrying all that fluid in your car.

That second item of a dash cam out of all will be your best asset there. People lie about their interactions whether true or not, just to get a few dollars from the rideshare companies. Do not let a passenger, "gaslight", you by saying something such as, "is it actually legal for you to record?" Usually provide a notification that the ride is being recorded and that video will be used if needed to confirm any disputes regarding the rider and driver. Usually the ones who are, "triggered", by the camera, usually are good indicators of red flag passengers, because they are the ones I usually find that are looking for a way to low rate a driver, just for a free ride.

Doesn't hurt to have seat covers like I do to be able the Shake out in between riders! FLOOR Mats too! PS I already have 9 of the 10 things you mentioned. I don't carry a vacuum but the vehicle gets a full wash, and interior douche, and inside and outside window clean before each day start. Keeping oil and coolant in your car isn’t always a good idea. Leaks or spills can be disastrous with those items. Keep your vehicle well maintained in the first place. If you have a vehicle that’s burning through oil or losing coolant you have some major issues. I know not everyone can afford a newer car but seriously look into leasing or buying a certified used car. Just my 2 cents.

I have phone holders and chargers. I have an organizer in my trunk with and emergency kit and a pet seat cover. I drive an EV. I definitely don't need yo carry oil. I don't carry other liquids. I have thought of barf bags.

Fluids and a vacuum? Not to mention jumpers? I don’t have room for that crap! I get the car serviced regularly and washed multiple times a week. Many car washes can be snuck into for a vacuum. Puke? Yes, a bag works! That’s if the tell you of the event coming. Either way the car has to be sanitized! Most of your list is common sense. Thanks!

Hi, great tips. I'm thinking of driving for Lyft. I have a question. Is there any way that I only request to Lyft that I have one passenger in my car at a time. I'm not looking to make a ton of money. When I went on the Lyft site to sign up, I didn't see a "Contact Us" tab. I have several questions, and frankly would rather speak with a person. Unfortunately, you won't be able to request that. The number of passengers available in your car are based on the number of seatbelts. Let us know what other questions you have as you get started.

Vanture N2 Pro is a great camera, the N4 gives you some more protection with the 3rd channel for the rear of the car but the N2 Pro is great. If you want wifi or recording to the cloud then there are a couple different options so it's going to depend on the options you need/want in the camera. For recording, it will depend on the memory card you get for it. You can loop the recording so it will continue to record over older footage but if you want to keep certain footage then you can press a button to save it where it won't record in loop mode. No you don't need to hardwire it unless you want to. The cameras will also plug into the cigarette lighter

Jumper cables aren't helpful for anyone who drives a Tesla or other vehicles that hide the 12V battery behind a plastic cover. We don't have easy access to the 12V battery and we don't want to come close to voiding any warranty by opening any cover. So we're not going to be able to use jumper cables.
