Wide brimmed hats and ladders great combo can’t believe we haven’t got half the things you mentioned oops ! I did buy nespresso machine the other day and convinced myself it was needed , but joking aside great checklist for us first timers 👍👍

Yep you never know when ladders and wide brimmed hat may come in handy. Don't knock the coffee machine. Juliet bought a unit for the awning so she could put her new Tassimo Machine on it.😂😂😂. Thanks for your comment and support. Phil.

Good considerations. We too have forgotten many of those items when we used to go camping. A little different with us living full time now, but certainly great information.

Hi Phil/Juilet, great video a good set of items there, we always start buying bits and pieces before we go away and put them in the caravan We always make a list of things to buy/replace when we're away in the caravan so we can replace them when we get home ready for the next trip out. A waiters friend corkscrew is a much better corkscrew, but make sure it's comfortable in your hand before you purchase it. Also comes with small blade to cut the foil on the bottle.

You two are SO prepared for this! You'll be like seasoned caravanners right off the bat :). All good points and things to remember. We always leave sunscreen, hats and sandals/flip flops in the van (the sun does shine in Scotland from time to time and we've been caught off guard before!). Oh, also citronella candles are good for the midges Looking forward to seeing when you collect your new caravan. All the best... Janice and Paul.

Thank you for this! Am new to caravaning and am currently experimenting with what to leave in the van when not in use, do you leave towels/sheets /duvet covers in the van? Bed made up?

I think you covered the most important one, the corkscrew. I am surprised that corkscrews are not an essential and come as part of the caravan or motorhome :-)

Dave you are so right. We must have about 10 corkscrew. We were always forgetting one on our travels. When the USA it cost us more for a corkscrew than the 2 bottles of wine we bought. That one did come back with us. Thanks for your comment and support. Phil and Juliet.

Pans! Dont forget the pans! We made this mistake first time we went away. Thought oh we will just eat out. Its only a weekend. With 2 adults and 3 kids your skint! Trust me!

Agreed ! We got a set of pans with removable handles (to help storage) in the sale at Millets. For the money they're amazing quality.
