Butter can sit out for a while without going bad. I've used it a month later without detriment. Also, a butter dish is the best way to store it on the counter. Butter crocks and butter bells can actually make it go bad faster.

I got that can strainer in college from pampered chef and it's a game changer! It goes on top of regular cans but fits perfectly inside tuna cans to get ALL the liquid out!
@zork9992 жыл бұрын
Yes, I have used that for years. Just turn it over and squeeze out all the liquid. It works great and the tuna ends up as "dry" as you like - I like mine very dry. Mine (which is probably 20 years old) is top-rack dishwasher safe - I assume the new ones are too.

The push handle chopper is fantastic! I had one for almost 20 years. Loved it. Then son moved in with his bride and their children. Never saw it again. It is fast, effective, easy to clean and so much quicker than using a food processor or doing it by hand. I need to get another! As an FYI, the colder the onion the less gas escapes and burns your eyes. If storing them in the fridge isn’t possible, you can also do it under running water. How? Peeling is easy but chopping under water is baffling to me. You might be able to figure it out. When I have to chop onion for a recipe, I chop the entire onion and put the chopped onion I did not use in a plastic bag in the freezer. If it is a lot of onion left, or if you do several, divide them into the snack size freezer bags and put them in the freezer. Speaking of chopping and freezing, I like to use orange zest in a lot of recipes. Whenever I buy mandarins or “Cuties”, I toss the peels into plastic bags. They are the sweetest and most flavorful orange peel and when I need some for muffins, cookies, cakes like carrot cake, some stir fry dishes like orange chicken or cold jello salad or cranberry sauce, I pull it out of the freezer and very thinly slice it and use it.

I am 100% sure that the “brush holder“ for the food chopper is actually a garlic peeler. You put whole cloves of garlic in there, you move it on the countertop like you’re making a snake out of Play-Doh, and it peels the garlic for you. And since the description says “garlic peeler included“ that would be it.

You made one boo boo! The can strainer. You can turn it around and press on the tuna to get the water out easier. They sell at walmarts for only $2.00. I have seen them at Ross stores for $4.99 or flea markets for $5.00. But the walmarts one is far cheaper and works great!

I agree about the can strainer, we have 2 of them. We use them to drain the oil from a can of tuna in oil into a saucepan, add flour and milk and make a thick white sauce, then stir in the tuna and chopped hard boiled egg to make tuna and egg pies. Saves throwing away the oil that has all the tuna flavour in it. One question though, why drain the tomato sauce from a can of baked beans in tomato sauce? I always just tip them into a saucepan and heat them.

Hey Matt! Love all of your videos! I’m from the secret text society (STS) I have that slap chopper, and I love it . I use it with almost every meal. I have one stick of butter that I keep out in a butter bell. Thank you for all you do for us! Can’t wait to see the deals at Costco for February! 😍☀️😎

typoons91, we keep one of those in our camper. Convenient when you're boon docking or don't have access to electric for other reasons! :)

I have a stick of butter that sits out on the counter because real butter gets used in my house quite often!!

My butter sits on my kitchen counter, but it usually doesn’t stay there long…because we are a butter-loving family!!! Matt, I love your videos…❤️❤️❤️

So many cool items in this video! I'm going to grab a few of these. That can colander ~ that is indeed a game changer. Thanks!! Also, that food hugger will come in handy. Although that means I will no longer have an excuse to eat an entire block of cheese in at sitting...

I love watching your videos. About the butter, I always keep mine on the counter. Then we can have either winter butter or summer butter ( depending on the season) 😂 of course the back up butter is in the fridge.

Hi Matt! I keep my butter in a Butter Bell on my counter. It keeps it fresh and soft enough to spread! Great video!

One of my favorite finds is a K-cup manual coffee maker. You only need hot water, pop the cup in, and plunge. $20 Great for camping if you have a camp stove to boil the water.

Bahahaha! The look of satisfaction when you were snacking!!! Priceless. I'm a gamer and crocheted, I'm definitely getting those snacking chopsticks.

We love you as well Matt. The finger chopsticks look interesting as that I’m not the best at using regular chopsticks. Note: with the device for draining cans , you can also invert it and push it into the can to attempt to get most or all of the tuna packing liquid out of the can if you wish. Can’t wait or Valentine suggestions. Thanks

Great little finds but I’m not sure how I lived 60 plus years without these little devices .😉 I guess I lived minimalistic before it was a thing. 🤣always entertaining as usual, Matt. TFS. 👍

Hey 🙋 Deal Guy. Even if I would never buy some of the stuff you demo, I still love to watch your show. You are so positive, and fun to watch 😸. The one thing in this video that I would never buy (probably), is the 2nd bonus item, the "Fancy- Schmancy, Hoity-Toity" way OVER priced toaster 😯. I believe that anybody who would actually buy that thing has more dollars than "sense".... uhhh, not you, of course 😉😁 As for the butter thing, we store the unwrapped butter in the fridge, but when we take it out and unwrap it, that's when I put it in a bowl with a lid. We leave it out until it's used up. I hate trying to spread cold stiff butter on to a nice soft fluffy slice of bread. Well, that's all I got to say for myself. 😃 have a blessed day 😍. Love ya man, and yer family too!

I'm actually really glad I watched this, I have a small mini fridge in my apartment room but have a hard time leaning down all the time to fetch milk or other drinks due to space issues. (and a bad back) so I'm really considering those automatic drink dispensers.

Added those food huggers to my list! I’ve had several of those food choppers/blitz hackers over the years, they are efficient and easy to clean and not another think I have to plug in. Thanks as always for your reviews

Great video Matt and fantastic Amazon finds. I do have the pasta gauge, the chopper and the can colander that I purchased years ago from Pampered Chef. Unfortunately, I paid way too much back then but they are good and durable. As for the butter the answer is yes. I keep one stick on the counter and the rest in the fridge or freezer when I buy in bulk at Costco.
