Hatzegopteryx is the largest when it comes to overall mass Quetzalcoatlus looks larger becuase of it's taller, thinner, and longer stature. So in appearance, Quetzalcoatlus is the larger one, but when it comes to weight and overall mass, Hatzegopteryx takes it It's like saying Spinosaurus is larger than Tyrannosaurus because of its longer stature and its sail. But in reality, Tyrannosaurus is the actual larger one because of weight and overall mass.

The T-Rex was a very large dinosaur that weighed up to 15,000 lbs, stood anywhere from 12-20ft in height, and was about 40ft long. Many people think the T-Rex is the king of all dinosaurs in terms of size, but the Spinosaurus dwarfs it. Spinosaurus weighs 31,000 pounds, stood 23ft tall, and could reach 60ft in length.

This type of videos don't make a lot of sense: what we can affirm is that all the largest pterosaurs belonged to the family Azdarchidae (the four largest in this video are part of this family), with a wingspan measuring probably between 10m and 13m, but the bones found are too fragmentated and in such small numbers (for the largest specimens), that is not possible to be so precise. Also about their mass, we really don't know how much they weighted, but for sure what is stated in this video is impossible, that is that a Quetzalcoatlus with a wingspan of 10-11m could weight 70kg, while an Arambourgiania with a 13m wingspan would weight more than 1 ton. There were probably some heavier and some more slender species, but the weight could not differ so much: all of the largest Azdarchidae must have been between 150 and 350kg, 1 ton is simply wrong

Not that its super important, because this video and these facts are awesome! But the size estimates of some of the biggest pterosaurs are still contested and new studies and findings change them all the time. For example, the max wingspan of Arambourgiania mentioned here is 13 m, after a study by Frey and Martill from the late 90s. However, other researches later put this into question and stated the max wingspan more likely was around 7 m. Then in 2010, Mark Witton and Michael Habib argued that a 7 m wingspan is an underestimate, while a 13 m wingspan is an overestimate. In 2022, Gregory S. Paul proposed that Arambourgiania had a wingspan of 9 m. As you can see the estimates are all over the place, because research and debate are ongoing. But whatever the exact size was, they must have been very impressive and amazing animals!
