I also recommend adding chopped cilantro to your salad too. It gives a nice bite to it. I put the whole garden in my salads.

Oil is good for you, in moderation of course. But there are some very healthy fats. Try Greek yogurt to mix it up, add some spices and some lemon juice for a creamy alternative. You could probably get creative with smashed berries like raspberries and dash of lemon juice or balsamic vinegar. Mashed avocado could be good.
@MC-ko2mx3 жыл бұрын
Do you like Asian-inspired flavors? Just One Cookbook has Japanese salad dressings on her blog that are lighter on oil - carrot ginger, sweet miso, and umeboshi (salted plum) etc. Just FYI, some oil is necessary to maximize absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) in the veggies.

I love making salads, I'm always surprised when people don't use a salad spinner It's so normal in Europe. An alternative is wrapping it in a towel in the fridge.

Chopped salads last longer in reusable silicone bags. Just put a sheet of paper towel in and u get a whole 3 weeks. I keep my dressing simple and it's always bomb. Some plain Greek yogurt whipped, pour it over the salad add a squeeze of lime and some pepper sauce. No matter what salad dressing u use add some pepper sauce and it will take ur salad there. Wash ur chopped veggies in salted water and d flavour is absorbed.

I'm used to amazing and healthy salads here in Europe. I also love making a variety of them. I went to Czech Republic (where my husband is from) and Croatia this summer and was shocked at how they serve you salad wirhout dressing. 😱 My mother-in-law does that too. They bring you oil and vinegar if you ask. You have to pour it on your salad. For someone who knows how much a dressing has to be whisked to taste great, this is a no-go.

All of these are obvious to me but good for people who didn't know. I would add that you have to blend or whisk it really well and add oil last if you want it to be super creamy. To me salads are sexy. 😎

Just to be a little nerdy: Salads without salt are not really salad, as the word originates from the Italian "salata" which basically means "salted"

Please remove your praising adjectives for your process as let people judge for themselves the content of your process and this makes videos long and extremely fake and boring
