DC have so many good materials to work with, arguably even more than marvel. The execution of the DCEU movies are just too terrible. The first avengers movie had a mediocre story at best but it was still well received. Because of the whole build up. The execution was perfect unlike justice league movie which just felt rushed and all over the place.

I don't know how they'd do it, but I think that if they were able to develop multiple characters in movies like Marvel did with Guardians they could adapt with some slight alterations the series where Booster Gold and several iterations of the Beetle saved Ted Kord from dying. That way you can have Jaime AND Ted, and you could have Booster in a supporting role, which is where I think he really shines.

Yes, they had these plans in the pipe 'Before' the Fox Deal... Projects far enough along will be completed, but will they keep pushing 'the D-List' now that they have all of their A Listers... but also note how Agents of Shield has only given us token interaction (Lady Sif and an Obvious 2nd unit scene with Fury)... the Inhumans was 'demoted' to a 8 episode series, which did not appear to be connected to anything... the Netflix shows are alleged to be in the same Universe as all of this yet we've seen Nothing except one liners (the incident, Magic Hammers and Green Monsters) showing they crossover with anything but each other (FFS the Punisher's scenes of the the NYC Skyline somehow lack the MCU's Stark Tower)

If DC reboots it's movie universe it would be cool to see The Shadow as one of their first movies and we find out later The Shadow is a film the exist within the DC Universe the people watch, not unlike how Kill Bill is a moive people watch in the Tarantino universe. It is this film the a young Bruce Wayne grows up loving and inspires him to become a hero after his parents death. We see an early Batman not unlike in his first debut in the comics in a similar costume and using the same guns. During this Batman film we see Bruce's relationship with guns as something he finds a neccessary evil and navigating his his own truma around them and his feeling using them. The climax of the film is Batman killing Joe Chill and with Batman getting a major PTSD panic attack flashing back to his parent's death, with this anxiety he throws his weapons and spirals into a deep depression trying to reconcile how he is no better than Joe and that his revenge is not what Gotham needs. Gotham needs a hero, but a gun weilding man hung up on revenge is no hero.

You don’t necessarily have to go to either extreme. They could do a couple of solo movies, and maybe a few groupings would work (some of the characters have interesting backstories with each other), and then maybe a fill out JLD. But you could also stick with the smaller group and solo focus.

Shazam is being made and the set shots of the costume look awful. It looks like you stuffed Jay Leno into a stretched nylon Capt. Marvel costume. The lightning bolt emblem is sewn on the costume crooked and it's crinkled at the tip. It's an insult to blind sweat shops everywhere. The 70's live action TV series looks better than this dud. Hell, the black and white Capt. Marvel serial films look better than this. There may not ever be another DC film after this turkey.

We all thought ant man would be crap but he now one of my fav in mcu (ik this is dc but this example explains my point best) if the acting and character development is good i can excuse a costume misjudgment. Smallville was great but dont tell me the costumes were out of this world.

SuperWildWarrior + I loved Smallville for the exact reason you stated - great character development and good acting. Plus the development was built up over time, letting us get to know and love the characters. You can't say that they didn't rush and hastily put together the whole JL franchise trying to catch up with the MCU's 18 or 19 movies over 12 years. With the underwhelming response to JL, you think they would slow down and take their time with their next project. I'll use your example: the MCU movie costumes look pretty much spot on in real life as they do in the movies, with little if any CGI needed (Iron Man excluded). Also the actors had to go on a strict diet/training regimine for 6 months prior to shooting their first MCU film. By contract, they've also had to maintain being in shape in case Marvel decides to add a last minute cameo or end credits teaser scene. My original complaint was only with the costume and the actor not being in shape. He has nearly my body build, 6'0" and 250 lbs. He pretty much looks like Fat Marvel or Uncle Marvel (actual DC characters, not made up). If you put that guy up against The Rock as Black Adam, the crowd's gonna be rooting for Black Adam. I mean, The Rock's always in his best shape. With Captain Marvel/Shazam, they're going to have to spend a ton of the budget to CGI the costume to look better, erase this guy's belly fat, and CGI the entire chest/abdomen area to look muscular/superheroish. If they're already cutting corners with rushing the movie before the actor has time to get in shape and have made a sub-par costume for the title character, then I'd guess that character development and a stellar script isn't on the list either. That is, unless Capt. Marvel/Shazam is going to be a comedy. DC writes so much better comic stories than Marvel. I just hate to see them short change their cinematic universe for the sake of competition. They started in the game too late. If this was basketball, it'd be like the opposing team showed up to the game in the middle of the 3rd quarter. They can't compete with Marvel at this point, so why not just slow down and take the time to make a great movie?

My son loved the Steel movie. Shaq was a decent role model outside of acting and sports. We wore out 3 VCR tapes re-watching it. The budget and effects weren't up to the task, but the story was good. If you can't believe in the person portraying the character, then scripts and budget and special effects mean nothing. Take Henry Cavill, he just cannot act. Not in any movie he's ever been in, yet he gets to be Superman.

The New 52 Vibe storyline was honestly one of my favorites, bringing him to the big screen would be absolutely amazing and would fit in with the darkseid thing they're trying to do. Also, bring in the extended batfamily or even Batman Beyond, they would do amazing in theatres. Dr. Fate would be pretty cool to tool around with as well as Zatanna or Vixen (especially if they wanted a sort of black panther character money powerhouse).
