Marcus Allen was one of the leagues elite rushers but how does he resonate with Raiders fans after he chose to go play with one of their most bitter rivals.

You don't know the truth why he was on the bench. He acts so innocent. He wasn't. He did two things that were not good to say the least. He betrayed Al in 2 ways. Really the NFL would have come down on him if he was less of a player. Truly a great football player with personal flaws.

I don't know why Al hated Marcus so much? Was it because of his good looks, that he came from USC and got a lot of attention? Because the team wanted to make him the offense early on? Was it because of his fumble in 1986 against the Eagles? It's so sad that Al tried to sabotage his career instead of just trading him away to the NFC or a team that could have wanted him.
@Jekyll08

Idiotic jealousy. Marcus Allen is just one example of Al Davis accusing others of being more than the team when he was the one doing that. It was the same with Jon Gruden. Former scout and coauthor of a book on Al Davis Jon Kingdon mentioned how Al got upset when he saw Gruden on a billboard. I respect Al for what he accomplished, but he had a massive ego and got in his own way.

@@Jekyll08 that’s the thing I just don’t get why the old man had these petty ass grudges when he did so much for the Raiders and the league as a whole especially when it came for social causes and equality. Who brought him to Oakland and gave him those opportunities? Al Davis. So when people criticize Mr. Davis, they should reason there were legit reasons he didn't play him. Mr. Davis didn't let the cat out of the bag. The 2 reasons are barely spoken of because of his greatness and they want his reputation intact. This was not pointed at you Dumisa.
