$10 Market hunt in Saida Lebanon 🇱🇧

My friends Fouad and ‪@YadVenturess‬ and I made a trip down to Sidon Lebanon (known locally as Sayda or Saida). As soon as we arrived, we visited the ruins sitting right on the sea. After a short tour, we headed across the street to the Sidon souks. We take you for a small shopping tour and finish off at a local coffee and relaxation spot that has a really cool traditional design to it.

@worldnomad thank you for your lovely travels and taking us with you ..I am an expat lebanese and I share all your blogs with my friends ...I wish found explained more about the khan efrange market in saida ..which has one of the oldest church or monastery between the alleyways ..there was so much you missed inside the bazaar which was a resting place for travelers in ancients times like the caravan serais on Ottoman Empire ... I want people to understand the history of beautifull Lebanon through your vlogs ... Oh the lemonade is famous in southern Lebanon They cut the lemons into peices some skin on and with gloves on ur hand and a drop of orange blossom and sugar and you start massaging the lemons untill the juices are all extracted you sifter it and add some water and ice and voila there is ur best lemonda.. Oh Lebanese lemons were taken and planted in the amalfi coast and Sicily during the Andalusian times ..in the amalfi coast they are Called cedr lemons the best quality Regards your fan Ps..Fuad looked bored

@@worldnomac The towns of Beit Mery and Broummana are almost connected to one another, and next time you should try not miss these 2 beautiful towns, Mac. Go there in the SUMMER, not in the winter as they become quite sleepy and laid-back towns outside of the Summer season. They are very close to Beirut, too. Take a look at the map when you have time*

I am glad you visited the ancient Phoenician port city of Sidon (Saida). Be careful Yad is going to catch up with you with the Lebanese accent. Keep practicing! Thank you for not taking change from the old man that sold you the Lebanese hat. You need to fill the Lebanese passport holder with a real passport. I hope the caretaker Lebanese government hands you one. You deserve it Mac! You missed the Turkish baths and the best place, Mustafa al-Jardali, to have Kenefeh sweets is in Saida. Sidon and Tripoli souks have cheap merchandise. As for Fouad's car, I am thinking to call it the Touring Canaanite Fumotor [Fu for Fuad] 😄

it would be nice to revit and do a more historic tour, like going to the jewish sinagogue, soap factory, debanne palace museum, st. louis castle, temple of eshmun which is the pheonician temple of healing, ottoman hammam, explore more of the old souks /old mosques and the gates that close up the city and a lot more.

The sooks were the actual old city of Saida, Jesus walked these streets to preach because Sidon was pagan during these times. Since Fouad is always proud of the FJ's rear end you should call it the twerking cruiser.
