I really appreciate your channel. You’re the only prepper that I still watch. I was having bad anxiety and a lot of prepping channels was telling me buy more, stock up, better get more food. I just got to the point where it was affecting my every day life and I had to step away. You always come at everything with a calm level head and never give me any anxiety or doom and gloom just good information.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for talking about the dangers of drinking water contaminated by agricultural chemicals. One of my friends nearly died when he drank from a ditch near a farm field. The hollow fiber filter he used did not protect him, and to be fair, it was not designed to filter dissolved chemicals.

Good stuff, I have been doing these as well. Doing these walks is a great learning experience. Take a drink of water every 15 minutes while walking. That's the second thing they beat into our head at bootcamp.

I loved this video. I watched the entire video straight through. I'm subscribed to quite a few preppers and I rarely ever watch these type of walk videos, but you made it interesting, informative, and easy to keep up with. I like how you pointed out some of the little things, like walking along the water source. I also like how you mentioned about stopping to drink water, even with a cool breeze. I'm a huge water drinker, and I try to remind people to drink more water, especially in air conditioned buildings, because it's easy to dehydrate yourself in a 'normal' environment such as an office building. Thank you again.

This looked so fun to do! I always wanted to do something like this and place small caches of supplies around good locations. But I never done this because people just don't leave me alone and let me walk by LOL. I guess when people see a women walking they think something just got to be wrong and insist on helping me get home safely. Thank you for the video. I loved it!!!

Just did a little around ten yesterday here in the Alps with the wife. Hot days and a steep incline can escalate into exhaustion without proper hydration, so we train to carry a certain amount because the higher elevations contain very little water. Also include paper maps of the area due to zero signal in some areas for miles as these are footpaths through winding ravines and forest, and protection from larger predators as well. Always good to buddy up if possible. "Train as you fight". ---Thanks for the time and the walk.

@@ModernRefugee yes. It’s why I estimate 3 days. It’s population dense . Winding roads through some very rough neighborhoods. If it’s winter I’ll be safer and move quicker as few go out but if it’s summer have to move only in early morning and late morning. Gangs are roaming afternoon to night already as it is. Plenty of water. The last 5 miles are all on a street but it’s usually barren so will be hard to say In shtf

Blackie thomas had a good video recently about using one of those sniper veil nets as a cooling device. Soaking it down with water, and throwing it over your head cools the air off around your face as the wind passes through the water soaked material. Seems like it's work pretty good, and he was swearing by it. Worth looking into

Your "bull" story reminded me of trying to wrangle up black and white cows in fully mature corn in the dark. As a short girl, barely 5 feet tall i would get called by my parents to get in cows that got out of the barnyard. Tall corn, night time, short girl and black and white cows: boy did you use your other senses to find them.

Catching a wayward cow is a real pain. The last one I helped catch was a three quarter grown steer. I got the rope around its neck and it dragged me around until it got tired so the other guys could get ropes on it and tied up. I came home covered in mud and grass and shocked the heck out of my family lol.

Im 60yrs old woman with bad heart /spinal issues , i had to reduce my get home bag from 11kg to 6kg just to be able to make it do able , 16 to 22 kms about ave 13miles away is where i will most likely get caught away from home..so its a 2day /over nighter trip home for me especially if event started late afternoon. I have a tactical walking stick, sleeping bag, stealth shelter envelope and the usual rest of the gear plus extra change of clothing is in the backpack .EDC and knife in right cargo pant pocket and water flask n torch in the other. Other hip pockets will hold pepper spray, hat, glasses, hanky, scarf, barley sugars. Neck lanyard under shirt,/coat will have knife/lighter/torch/urban tap key and mini aluminum sealed tube with water tabs, cash n meds in. Just in case i get robbed .i plan to keep to the 'queens chain' along side the road and rivers.. dissappear into the shrubbery if others arrive. I drive this 5 times weekly..so have scouted places to cook dinner n sleep discretely/safely away from roads. Nz lee
