My dad was a college professor but Friday and Saturday nights he delivered bundles for the local newspaper. The extra money wasn't much, but over the decades it made a big difference.

Prepping never ends. Just the other day a neighbor had a flat tire. They had no pump nor plug for themselves. It just made me think about how many or these people are so unprepared for what I call a basic prep. I guess that is why we are here to learn even more. Take care Modern Refugee. 🇺🇸

You and I have a lot in common , Medical SHTF has just made more and more apoearances since I've gotten a bit older , I'm 54 , I hope your situation works out. Catching things early is key Ive had my left side lung collapse spontaneously 2x this year , once on 4th of july ! I had to have chest tubes, recovery has been tough but I'll make it Because of your videos I built one of those bags , left it in my truck and it benefitted me GREATLY during this experaince , thanks so MR ! much your efforts are much appreciated !
@ModernRefugee13 сағат бұрын
I hope you are doing well. One more thing I will mention here for people to consider. Never wait, if you think something is medically wrong seek proper medical attention immediately. Like you said catching things early can make a huge difference in recovery.

Thanks as always. Do you have am old school way to test soil for acidity?
@ModernRefugee13 сағат бұрын
@@joehornick6249 the Old Timer’s would look at what grew on the land and by that they would determine how good the soil was. A example, if birch or scotch pine grew in an area they would say the soil was thin and acidic. Later when I was older Mom would take soil to the local CO-OP and they had a kit that would tell if the soil was acidic or if it was lacking anything.

So basically soak corn cobs in kerosine. How long? Does it work better if they are dried first?. Do they need to remain in kerosine before use, or can you bag them up after they soaked for a while and store them until you go hiking ect?
@JoulesJohns14 сағат бұрын
Also, should you cut off the end before soaking or shouldn't that matter?
@ModernRefugee14 сағат бұрын
@@JoulesJohns you don’t have to cut the end off. I don’t know if the kerosene would react with a plastic bag. The Old Timers always kept them in metal cans. They never dried the corn cobs, they used them right away. They kept them in the kerosene in the cans. I hope this answers your questions.

The old hickory knives are the best ones for me here at him and at my off grid cabin where I cut up wild game venison and pork and occasionally a black bear when I see one that I choose and need of the many up here in the mountains of N. Georgia and we eat what we harvest too y’all !!

I did the vinegar soak overnight on my BPS. Since the scales are held on by screws I took them off and did the whole thing. Looks nice. I also have applied mineral oil to the sheath and it is now a nice dark brown versus the original light brown/tan. Thanks for the info!

Of the many that I have listen to this is the one that you need to do a 2.0 immediately!!!!! Concept of martial law that you can send it is the most relevant thing I’ve heard in a long time. Warfare internationally is becoming more and more cyber and electronic manipulation. Please re-post this with your current thoughts.Gray is the new red white and blue

@Mr: great video, one thing I would suggest is NOT leaving anything plugged in to your battery bank/cell. Usually the micro weld on your battery bank /usb port will crack if you still connected in it and it’s stored in your bag, etc. Just by it hit or forced in an abnormal position. Good stuff sir.

Tannins help hugely for Food Poisonings, Diahreaha, Allergy Glued Eyes, Skin Irritations/Allergy, etc. Tannins come from Raspberry, Blackberry, Black Tea, Strawberry Leaf. Having little packets of drued leaves, or knowing where to pick them is super handy!

Just a reminder, when to CB type radios, DO NOT idlelly chit chat on channel 9. That is the federally mandated emergency channel. That could lead to thousands of dollars fine if caught.
