Pregnant and want to stay healthy, strong and in shape? Try this 10 min easy-to-follow prenatal Pilates video that is perfect for during your pregnancy (all stages).
Being pregnant is pretty amazing, definitely if you think about how the body adapts to the needs of the growing baby. To help your body cope with the extra weight and those annoying side effects (water retention, back pain, slower metabolism etc), a simple Pilates based work-out can really make a difference. Just do it as often as required (2 to 3 times a week is perfect ) and you can keep going as long as you feel comfortable (I was still doing this at 40 weeks pregnant ). This workout is suitable for all stages of pregnancy.
As every person is different, so is every pregnancy. If you feel a bit unsure about exercising during your pregnancy, get advice from your doctor before starting your pre-natal pilates routine.

be careful, plank is not recommended during pregnancy

I absolutely disagree! I'm a prenatal instructor too and planks are absolutely fine if you do it with the right technique and at the right level . Planks are amazing during and after pregnancy to support the TA muscle. However, it comes down to technique. Exercises that are NOT recommended in pregnancy are rectus abdominis exercises, but even these you can do if you do them in reverse and with the right engagement. Technique - and a good teacher will help - is always important. 😀
