This would have been handy 30 years ago when i was trying to redevelop existing mill dams and water power in New England, USA. I ran out of money just after the regulators set the electricity prices too low. I think the countries in and next to the Himalayas are the next place for small and intermediate sized hydro power development. Fortunately the engineers in India have seen this and are hard at work. That is good. Note: diversionary scenes make a lot of sense in the headwaters of many rivers because huge structures are unnecessary. LooK for A book called "Water Power" by Mr. Bowers. This covers the topic in great detail. Developers of the micro hydro sites should work on stream flow rates and duration before anything else. Sites below 1,000 watts can be just about anywhere.

Yes they thought 2 cents/kWh was the maximum price that they should pay. New England now has the highest cost power in the country (except for California) especially Massachusetts. High cost electricity is a sign of poor governance, plain & simple. A few years ago I was supposed to travel to Tata in India to inspect parts for a Pelton rehab/modernization. Somebody else went and the parts were not even ready. I got the hell out of there I couldn't bare to watch a perfectly good machine be butchered because somebody thought it would be a good idea. And the yes men all nodded. And I bailed.

Pelton turbines can have efficiencies of 90% or higher. Pelton turbines maintain high efficiencies over a wide range of flows/loads.

Sir can u tell me what all parameters in waters like density, tds etc. .. will affect the generation of power

The higher the density of fluid the more power you generate. However the density of even sea water isnt that much high compared to fresh water. Sea water density is 1024 kg /m3. This is only 2.4% higher than fresh water

Google "Small Hydropower" for reference books or look in a college engineering library. The basic equations are reasonably simple.

tds/density? Water weighs the same everywhere & dissolved minerals will not even increase the weight by 1%. They are concerned about sandy water, rocks, trash, for wear and water passage clogging. Power = head x flow x efficiency P = H Q n MW = eff x Q (cfs) x H (ft)/11650

can we generat electricity through tubewell water? when tubewell oprating on 10HP 3phase motor????

You can get some energy back but it wouldnt be much. Best is to only use your 10 HP motor as much it is required

Sir is there any example of pump storage system? Also is this Power formula true for any head or there are different calculations for large scale and run of the river?

There are many examples of pump storage across the world. I dont think there is one in Pakistan. For example there is Cruachan power plant in Scotland that is pump storage. Yes you can apply the same formula for Run of the river projects

Many pumped storage systems are in service. PG&E, SCE, CDWR, LADWP, USBR, ACOE, TVA, NYPA, DUKE, VIRGINIA POWER, GEORGIA POWER each operate one or two of their own large high head hydro-electric pumped storage power plants in the US. Other utilities too. PG&E Helms and Duke Bad Creek are the coolest Batcave style underground in granite. TVA Racoon Mountain is cool too. After 9/11 they stopped giving the public tours of these facilities. You have to trespass and do some B&E if you are curious.

Wa alaikum us salam, Jazakallah khair. Crankshaft taqreeban 4 kg or Connecting rod will be 0.5 kg (for 50 CC). Crankshaft material carbon steel SAE 1045. Connecting rod material is alloy steel. Aap internet per spare parts ki website say weight hasil ker saktay hain
