This is a fun compilation of DIYs that are satisfying to play or fidget with. I tried to make it as simple as possible but some of these do require some drying time. I refilmed the bottle slime DIY and tried it with a jar which was something I wanted to do for a long time. I found that baby food jars work great because they have a wide neck and don't require a lot of material to fill up. When using a bottle to make slime, you may need to cut it open to get it out. If you know anyone with a baby aged between 6-14 months they'd probably be happy to give you an empty jar for free. You could also just buy an applesauce jar and eat it yourself!

I'm a person who loves making art, DIY projects and crafts, but I specifically enjoy doing projects that leave me with a result that I can still have for a long time after that because I get attached to things like a literal toddler, and the phone case DIY really brings out that side of me, sadly. I'd love to see more long-lasting project results in your videos, though I imagine that'd be tough to do while keeping the project process simple enough for anyone to follow. Long story short, I'm inspired to start making my own DIYs by your videos and channel, and I really love watching your videos!

in my opinion, its not even worth it to attach it to a phone case, because you can just make the clay pieces separately and it will take the same amount of time. There is no extra utility or real aesthetic payoff by having it attached to a phone case

Just a reminder to everyone that if you use glitter that isn’t biodegradable(or you’re not sure), don’t wash your hands in the sink and/or rinse any down the drain. Wipe everything up with a damp paper towel and throw in the trash.

@@maqaroon your videos have been a consistent source of content and creative inspiration for me since I was in eighth grade, and now I'm in my third year of university. I've made sock plushies for my friends based off of your tutorials, you inspired me to learn how to sew, and as someone who wants to be a teacher, they've helped me learn how to relate better to younger children in a way that they enjoy but isn't detrimental to their development as people. I also have learned that I'm Neurodivergent since I started watching your content and your content about DIY fidget toys has been super useful for me! Just, thank you so much for your content. I remember when you first showed your face on camera and it was such a huge deal for me. You were one of the first channels I actually subscribed to on KZbin. So thank you! Danke! 谢谢!

My problem with projects you can only use once is the waste. Food gets used up, at least. Cooking serves more than a one-time experience of doing something. With a DIY like the phone case where you can only use it once and then have to throw it out you essentially just made trash...

Amazing diys but that first one could hurt someone, the last thing someone's expecting when squishing a squishy is a toothpick being drived into their palm
@maqaroon
@maqaroon 2 жыл бұрын
Yes good point! 🙈Though I think because the toothpick is directly below the nose, it's unlikely that you will end up pressing it exactly in that place. Otherwise the nose is also going to fall off or get damaged.

Maqaroon, I just wanna say I love your videos! You are one of the only crafters (actually wait never mind the only one) who I actually like to do your diys! You’re voice is so satisfying and calming, you are really pretty, and I love how you have so many channels and manage to post! I agree with u for the clay cracking one. It’s fun to make things that only last once, because then you put in lots of work for the final satisfying moment when you crack in. I don know much about BTS, but that snowman squishy is so cute :) I love your videos, and I can tell you put so much work into them. I love your fidget toy videos, because they all work and are cool. -A big fan, Art avocado

Idk, I really disagree with the "diy that you can only use once". Comparing it to food doesn't sound right. I mean, you make food to eat it so you can have energy. When you make a diy, it just becomes trash that ends up in the environment.
@maqaroon
@maqaroon 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, very valid point. Though with the phone case, it's still perfectly usable as a case but just the popping mechanism is only doable once. I didn't throw it out afterwards either. I feel that a lot of cheap toys (like popits, surprise balls, blind boxes) all end up as waste especially the packaging. So even though they're technically not one-use, the majority of those products are treated as such.

Hey macaroon. With all respects for you, I wouldn’t consider any of the things you made asides from the slime as a fidget toy. Digit toys aren’t supposed to be just satisfying. They can be but they need to be used over and over again and allow for a repetitive motion to be done aka fidgeting. Hence the name. So clay cracking would not be considered that since it’s only used once and doesn’t allow for fidgeting after using it. Be careful when you label stuff as fidget toys because I sometimes worry the title of it will become meaningless and will apply for thing that aren’t fidgets making finding fidgets for those who are nurodivergent such as myself much harder. It’s why fidgets as a trend is very iffy to me and other nurodivergent folk. Yes they are easier to come by but often certain things are mis labeled.
