Yep! 🙂 strength, mobility and flexibility work, particularly for hips / pelvis as it’s an area which many other sports pound and wreck!

Thanks v much! I have broken my elbow, wires and pins in, now exercising. This will help me retain some balance and leg strength. It'll be a five month break from Twd class, gotta keep up what I can, Thanks Donovan, you're great!

Fantastic session mate. I’m a sprinter currently nursing a chronic pelvic injury. I’ve just completed this session (minus 2 of the exercises and executed at beginner level!). I haven’t trained TKD since I was 16 and it’s great to feel the burn in areas which clearly have been neglected for years! 😂 it’s amazing to cross train to feel where one’s own sport falls down!

It's been years since I've watched you. Got into a freak accident that shattered my spirit so I haven't trained for a long time now. I've missed your videos. I hope I find purpose again so I can get the strength to get back into training.

Excellent conditioning workout. At 67 my flexibility is shot but this has helped immensely hoping to do black tag grading soon so will be doing this workout before every tkd session. Thanks Donovan

I bought your Sidekick Programm some months ago and I highly recommend it! Very good and detailed program 👍 Would be great if you could make something like that for Roundhouse and Frontkick as well + balance

I very rarely follow/subscribe anyone, nor am I a frequent comment'er. But thanks a lot for the inspirational and motivational videos. I'm heading for 1.st dan in shotokan karate and just started WTF Taekwondo classes in my area. I especially enjoy the videos where you instruct on ideal stretches to improve kicking. Amazing!

Thank you for this! It's deceptively simple. Why does it get more challenging the more I do it? I think that I'm beggining to use the correct muscles for tu exercises, with repetition , and think this could be the reason? Also, when you kick, do you kick through the heel of your foot or the ball of your foot?

My specialization is in kicking development, flexibility, and poomsae. While I obviously sparred in my martial arts journey, I'm not someone who feels comfortable making videos acting as if I'm THE EXPERT on something that I don't participate in much anymore. Check out my friends Alex Wong and Samery Moras. They've got some good sparring videos that may help!

My son loves Taekwondo but hasn’t got the balance... I will have him do this every day! After practicing Taekwondo for 7years (he is 10 now) where he is at right now is simply not acceptable... (mommy’s ego, I know 😞)

Just so you know I was a boy Scout. At 18 my Dad pestered me to catch up on merit badges for get eagle scout status. I pointed out that the whole time I was doing it for fun & myself not for him or the cool resume highlight.

I only couldn't do one the one where u Have to put both your hands down and then get back up in a kicking position whenever i get back up i bend my kicking leg sucks

Your leg technique in itself is sound. It is visible that you have very good strength in your legs and gluteus. But with that level of precision and skill, why do you arch your lombar section so much into such a pronounced posterior tilt? Do you have a week core and tight abductors or is that a conscious thing? Do you have lower back pain yet?
