@@GarageMahalLife hey, speaking of 2001 toyota corolla. Do you have other videos of that vehicle in repair? I have half a dozen other issues I'm working on. (It's a project car).

What happens when the bearing/assembly doesnt just come off that easy like that??? Alot of cars those are seized on and don't just come right off?
@GarageMahalLife3 ай бұрын
An air hammer will make them come out nice and easy...

I have the same problem. I’m trying to change mine but they don’t want to come off at all. The bolts are really tight.
@klwthe3rdАй бұрын
@@kenyvalle7772 Getting the bolts off isn't the hard part. Just use a very long breaker bar or attach a smaller pipe onto the end of your rachet and it will break them loose. Leverage if your friend. The real issue is when it's rusted to the backing plate.
@kenyvalle7772Ай бұрын
@ At least mine are not rusted. They’re just to tight. I bought an impact wrench and it didn’t help. Thank you tho I’ll do that and see if a can get them loose 👍🏽

@@kenyvalle7772 The longer the lever the more torque/power you will have. Worst case senerio you will break the bolts. No big deal cause you'll get them out.

I just bought a 1995 Toyota Corolla 5 speed with 160.000km from an ex cop. Rust free maintained very good except the rear bearings. I ordered the rear bearings from Amazon but I'm a bit worried about the safety & longevity. They're autoshack bearings. How long do you think they will last & are they safe? I paid $400 for my car & $60 for the bearings. Do you recommend any good websites for affordable quality parts? Thanks, greetings from the Canadian Rockies.

Hi Stoic! How is the winter ;) Well I have ordered a lot more parts from Amazon lately. My shop is at www.amazon.com/shop/rhinehoth Okay, well Amazon does have a lot of 3rd party sellers on there, I look for ones that have the best and most reviews. As of lately Detroit Axle has been my goto 3rd party seller. This is their page amzn.to/2NGfAE1 But in short, I have only ever had 1 problem with a inner tie rod failing on a SK4 and Amazon made good on it. But I have bought countless bearings and all have been solid even from cheaper 3rd party questionable sellers, (a few customers of mine want the cheapest parts possible...) so I have experimented a bit with other sellers. The most delightful thing is 99% of the time when I have ordered off Amazon, it has been the right part! Unlike my big box auto parts stores near me who tend to be more expensive than Amazon and typically about 25% of the time, get me the wrong part. Anyhow in short, I've had great parts that last with little to no issues! :) Hope that helps!

What size bolts are those? Like 17mm?
@GarageMahalLife4 ай бұрын
16mm if I remember correctly, but always have a socket set up to 21mm in case 😉
