Things I have leaned from you: 1. Give myself grace 2. Ditch what doesn't work for me 3. Its okay to do what I can 4. Family time is what is most important. You are truly a down to earth breath of fresh air. The only cleaning channel I watch.

Remi I want to share something that helped me when we had health issues with our daughter. It can be so all consuming, and my sister used to remind me to "take baby steps"- to bring the big picture back closer and closer, smaller and smaller, to the moment I could manage. Sometimes that was the day ahead of me, sometimes it was the very minute I was in. It really helped and may be useful for you or someone else. I realize when I am overwhelmed I am thinking too far ahead, about too many possibilities, when actually I often need to only do what's right in front of me. Baby steps reminds me even now to pull in and in and in until life feels smaller and manageable... and then move forward from there. ❤❤❤ Best of luck with everything! I have three daughters and I once made a miniature book titled My Heart Goes Out in Three Directions. Once we have children our heart is no longer our own.

I absolutely love this type of cleaning. My own mental health (and neurodivergence) has been Big Nope lately, so I've pared it down to a two-minute tidy for the time being. The _real_ value for me is that once you get that ball rolling, it just gathers momentum and wants to keep on for ages sometimes. And if it doesn't, then you've still achieved your tidy goal. Can't lose either way. ♥ You've got this!

Praying for Ike and the rest of you. It is hard being a parent. When my daughter was a month old the doctors thought she had cystic fibrous. I didn't even know what that was. When he told me I was like you i just froze up. After that shock I cried and prayed. After 10 days of tests in a childrens hospital the test came back negative! I thank God to this day and shes 35. About your video, you have done so much in 10 minutes! I love your videos. Your ideas are marvelous! I don't know you personally but I would love to! I wish my mom had made me do chores. I think it would have helped me greatly in my adult life. I am a lot like you. My mother used to fuss with me to clean my room until she worked herself into a lather then she would just clean it up herself. That did not help me in the long run. Do not get me wrong, she did not clean very often. Our house was always messy - always. I guess that is why I am comfortable living in a disaster area. But, deep down, I want a presentable house. It has been a struggle n my entire adult life. I am 72 and still trying. In.my 50s, it was determined that I have ADD. So I have medicine that I take on days that I want to accomplish something. Otherwise, I am VERY easily distracted and do not get much accomplished. I really enjoy your channel. Do you ever watch the you tube channel Diane in Denmark. She is great. Take care.

Hysterical, screaming goat...Made me laugh out loud, brilliant! I'm sure Ike will be fine. My house used to be like yours, toys, laundry and pots everywhere and I too would find forks and spoon in the most odd places. Then the kids grew up and went off to University and I got a dog. The house is still messy... and yes, it's me!! This year I decided to be kinder to myself and NOT to apologise for the mess when friends came over. I do a bit of a clean and tidy each day depending on pain and energy levels and yeah I can see a difference. Thanks for all you do

I have a chronic illness with phases of extreme pain. I know the feeling when its just too much too "just pick up". Sometimes you are happy to just reach the bath or make yourself a coffee. What helped me was to declutter ruthlessly so there is no chance that the floor gets covered even if I have a very bad flare up. And I keep on decluttering so it stays that way and this way i wont exhaust myself clearning it all up once i feel better. Cleaning is so much easier as well with minimal stuff. For me, I have a rule: if its not managable, its too much stuff. I needed more than I few years to realize that this is whats best for me! I am happy that the clean up wont stress me out no more.

Lovely Remi I loved seeing Ike ( Aike?...the two year old) snuggle up in his chair under the blankey you just folded...repeatedly lol. And filling the fruit bowl. I love doing that after I go shopping. Today I got a mango and two kiwi's...but will go to the organic veggie store for the first time this week and hopefully find some in season fruit that's not too expensive. Early Autumn here now in Aus. Tired of getting fruit from my normal supermarket that looks nice but is inedible like those peaches last week. I digress I love the 10 minute per room idea...might give it a go

I am sorry you are struggling Remi. I pray your little boy’s lab work doesn’t show anything wrong. I, too, worried about my children excessively. I remember one year we traveled to the beach. It was long before seatbelts were required. My son slept on the back ledge of the car. When we got to the beach he was bright red, very hot to touch. I thought he had Scarlet Fever! He had sun burn. So I understand what you mean. I was not only a mother but a nurse so I was really bad at jumping to the worst possible conclusion. Anyway I loved your video as usual.

It IS amazing how much can get done in in just a few minutes. Often my boys & hubby would also join me in a 10 minute tidy. Four of us blitzing through the house. So much accomplished! When my boys were little I tried to treat the 10min tidy as a game. Took a little work in the setup and it's a silly little game, but the boys had fun with it. This is what I did... I had a collection of pictures of the rooms throughout the home in their "tidy" state. The boys would select a picture and in 10min they would do their best to restore the room to the condition shown in the picture. I also had bought little toy ducks that were "designated" to each room. I would hide the duck before the boys entered the room. I would ask- "Boys, where is MR Duck in the picture?" If they found the duck within the 10min. tidy and return it to the location shown in the picture they would earn points towards a special treat.

Remi I love your videos and you feel like a long lost sister or something I never had. I only have one kid. She is 5 now. Up until last year she was not sleeping much and her first few years I exclusively breastfed her and would be up all night, sleep deprivation was real. It made me so much more anxious, paranoid, etc. no capacity to deal with those emotions because my battery was empty constantly. Your babies are still little as well, so I applaud you for doing this monumental task of making a KZbin channel. You've helped a lot of people while helping yourself! ❤❤❤

Oh how I wish I had a cupboard like yours. I want to create a quiet, cozy place where I can pray and read my Bible. Love how your cupboard looks now. I have chronic pain and am pretty badly sore most days. But I just cannot have peace if my house isn't tidy. It will bug the cr*p out of me and I won't be able to rest like I need to. If my home is not neat and tidy the anxiety shoots through the roof. I have been invited to go visit my mom who lives on the other end of the country and one of the major things that is making me so hesitant to visit her is that I may come home to a messy/dirty house. I never used to be this bad. Maybe I am trying to control the cleanliness of my house to make up for the fact that I cannot control the pain. I like your content. I pretty much clean every day so for motivation I like to watch and rewatch your videos while I am having breakfast or while I'm on a quick break. I love how real you are.

I used to have terrible anxiety as well especially with my children. I finally couldn't take it anymore and i prayed and i gave it all to Jesus. I was healed and no longer have anxiety. And if i start to fear i remind myself that he tells us not to fear. I hope this helps. Love you and praying for you.❤

The same thing helped me but it's been a very gradual and not so easy process, I had to go back to the Word and learn about who God is in order to start letting go of the anxiety. The more I learn, the less anxious I am, but it's been hard work and I'm still not anxiety free but I can function and I'm doing much better. I learned He is a good Father and He actually loves me and uses all the bad for my good even the stuff in the past I'm healing from, the stuff that is happening now, the stuff that will happen. Even if the worst thing happens I will never have to face it alone. It's hard to explain. I used to think it was crazy.

@@redhead911126You're not crazy! God does love you, even if it can be confusing sometimes! Trusting in God does not necessarily mean all your anxiety will magically go away. I am a Christian but still have depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety & PTSD. Trusting in God is the best thing I've ever done in my life, but my life will never be perfect & I have to accept that. I hope this helps some. God bless! ❤

As a child, teen, and young adult, I was a “messy,” and of course, even at 65 y/o, I still have bouts of those tendencies. Having to much stuff is also a problem, and I have read a multitude of books on organizing, housecleaning, and clutter, but like dieting, I lose it, then gain it back! My friend of almost 30 years has seen me have multiple yard sales, get my house in order, only to be in the same place a few months or years later. Like you, I do enjoy a deep cleaning, but the room can be in chaos around me, while I’m focused on scrubbing baseboards, doors, and moldings, or taking down curtains to wash, iron, and scrub the windows! I stumbled on your video and was delighted to watch and hear your struggles with these similar issues, finding them encouraging and helpful. Your 10 minute timing method would definitely be helpful if I use it first before deep cleaning. I also plan on watching your decluttering video. Thank you for your honesty and the courage to share!

Looks great, Remi! I totally understand your worry about kids health and I am hoping that everything turns out to be just fine. Here is a little rule of thumb that I use when decluttering toys. Every time you pick up a toy think about the last time your child actually played with it and for how long they were entertained. Now compare to how often and how long it takes you to clean it up. If the entertainment time is lower than the cleanup time or even space it takes up, let it go. For me that was always sets of lots of tiny toys. Puzzles, pretend food and ridiculous quantities and the like. The truth was my kids didn’t play with them. They just dumped it out and spread it around. They don’t miss it. If you’re not ready to let it go, you can always pack it away and kind of quarantine it for a few months. Swap that out with something else and I’ll feel like new again.

I heard of this in an NDE before: Not too worry- when you worry you could make things worse. Place you in a space in your mind Place the situation in a space in your mind next to you Place God's light on both. Thank him for taking care of it. Let it go. Simple but EFFECTIVE! The woman was shown to do this to receive the best outcomes!😊

You are not alone. You WILL overcome this!! Start with taking care of you first. It may be taking an extra long warm shower or bath. Put on your favorite show or audio book. Then move to washing one cup or one plate. If you want to do more cleaning, go for it. You've got this! I'll be praying for you.

Thank you for sharing this. It's so helpful. I want to try it tomorrow. I often get overwhelmed because I want to do things perfectly all the time, but boy was it an eye opener to see that small milestones can also be great at easing tension and getting things in better shape. I'll let you know how I get one. Much love from Zimbabwe 🇿🇼❤

My little girl is 10 and half. We both love watching you and when she knows she needs to dust her room or even tidy up she gets me to put you on the TV because you give her alot of motivation. I love your honestly about life and how everyone is wired differently. Men don't understand how we as women are different. Keep doing what you do. Alot of respect from us in Northern Ireland xx

My abusive narcissistic partner of 11 years has just left me (again, but I won’t ever have him back now) and he left the house in such a state. I have a three year old autistic son who is non verbal and of course very messy, but having his father here was like having a lazy teenager too. Now I have to start tackling everything on my own, and I do mean on my own which is hard cos I don’t have anyone to help or watch my son while I work. Still, as you say, bit by bit and hopefully I’ll get there. It’s all so fresh atm as it only happened two days ago, so I’ve had little “get up and go” in me. I’ve spent a lot of time moping around, but I’ve started to do bits and I will get there. I just wish I had a magic wand to do it all for me just this once 😢
