After doing this exercise and others meant for the vagus nerve I get a stiff/numb feeling in my face. Any insight on why? Is it a positive or negative reaction?
@painpsychotherapy2 ай бұрын
This exercise tends to affect people differently. Did you experience these sensations as pleasant or unpleasant?
@mariasisul3362 ай бұрын
The numbness that happens in my face is unpleasant, frightening and uncomfortable. Even if the practice itself does seem calming while doing it.

Thanks for this video this is golden. Could I ask, do these excersises help create new neural pathways when used regularly or are they just for temporary relief?
@painpsychotherapy3 ай бұрын
Yes, overtime these exercises can support our nervous system becoming more regulated/flexible. So we can use them proactively and reactively!

Tanner thanks for this. Just listening to the Celine Dion story. I become dysregulated listening to all the ‘this is not curable! And the negative messaging…you are Canadian Tanner, can’t you point her in the right direction?! 😂 gosh if we had a TMS advocate like that we could really get this out to the masses! As always thanks Tanner 😊
