im sitting here on youtube trying to find a japanese pop song that I used to play on a CD that my dad brought back for me when he went to visit for his guitar business. All i rememebr was a killer slap bass line and some violins, but I discovered a whole genre from Japan that I didn't know existed.

Marco Gómez thanks! It depends on the song/context really. I generally prefer the sound of deader strings so I left the same set on for this whole run of songs, but I’ll change them out for newer strings if I’m doing a song with more top end sizzle.
