Mistake #3 is CRITICAL. It can ruin your whole playthrough and damage your experience. I say that because I mysefl did this and kept playing the same mediocre way for ages. Lvl up at lowly mobs. Never fought bosses... this kills your adventure.

1. I suggest you prioritize increasing your rep for knives of elys. There is an encounter in the starting luminant, of two boats. kill the ones with the lilac/light purple clothing. Do that about three times. by doing this you decrease voidwalker players from jumping you. 2. store armor blueprints that you know you're going to wear next time you're wiped. 3. cheese this game as much as possible. PvE can be unfair sometimes, sometimes even worse than PvP in my experience. 4. don't spam your parry button mid combo, take the hit, block the hit, dodge the hit, or vent. Additionally, red attack are unblockable, and are usually unparriable. NOTE: usually. TL;DR: *DODGE* 5. don't be afraid to explore the world of deepwoken. There are many places in deepwoken, especially outside the Etrean Luminant (the starting location), that you might find essential to your play through. 6. In time, you will learn the rhythms of battle; patience is not a virtue, it's a weapon of war

I was fighting some bandits to level up shadowcast since i just unlocked it and was messing around with mantras when a voidwalker came in. I usually never attack first so i just left him alone to kill bandits but then bro attacked me. He was REALLY bad at the game but had some semi decent gear somehow. I knocked him and carried him to campfire and just told him to chill and i dont want beef. He attacked me again after healing. Poor man got sent to the depths.

A good tip for noobs that i can give is to start grinding the Ferryman at level 15ish. Thats the level where bosses are usually best for leveling more, and the Ferryman is the easiest boss in the game. He only has 4 moves, one of which replaced the other once he hits half health, and most of them can be avoided completely by just running. The trickiest part is definitely parrying his close range lightning assault barrage. In phase 1, wait till you hear the impact of his teleport to parry. In phase 2, only parry his first and third attacks, as the second will be auto parried. Not only does it give easy xp, but you also end up with tons of rings and even a great armor schematic.

@horrormaster8578 his location is a bit weird. You know Miner's landing? Well, when you're sailing towards it, go left into one of the valleys between that and the mountain. The right one should have a wrecked boat on the shore at it's entrance. Go straight and in the distance you should see the trees of Boatman's Watch, where you summon the Ferryman. Once you arrive, at the center of the island is a sort of pedestal with four circles surrounding a middle circle. Should the middle one be glowing, put campfires on the other ones around it and light em all (you can get two at once if you go halfway between the circles and the center and then stand between two fires). After a short delay, your dance with the Krulian begins. Don't forget to bring extra fires to heal yourself.

Trial of one gets you to power 9-10. I mastered the trial by just spending a lot of time to do it over and over and over until I learn how to fight enforcer or tresher when I first started playing. It is really a good way to learn how to defeat some of the monsters.

Another tip, dont spam mantras (and sometimes aerial/uppercuts) during pvp. Try to only use m1s, parries, dodges, and crits so you can actually learn to parry and attack Honestly once you figure out which talents are the most important after following build videos, you are free to make whatever build you want using your favorite talents, go crazy!
