I swear to god, AU5's chaos modulation has really changed how people now make supersaws. The stacks now so full that people don't really need to layer freaking 10 layers of supersaws. Great video CC!

I just started using chaos modulation to make phat synth stacks in my drops. Au5 is a serum god

Really nice tips! About the using sends for reverb, if you already used all the 12 return tracks, I would also really recommend using the max for live device called "Audio Routes". There you can use the "Audio Sends" device, where you can basically use an audio track as a return track. It would be hard for me to explain everything here, but you basically just add an effect to one track (an audio track that will be used as a return track), and in the other track that you want to apply the sends you add the "Audio Sends" device, there you can just select the audio track that you used as return and it's done! Side note: on the track that you used as return track, you will need to set the audio input as "no input" and you will need to set the monitoring as "In".

thanks buddy ill have to try that out!!

The first tip really opened my eyes, I always thought you should remove the low end at 100hz but it removed the warmness of some instruments. I always thought it had to be that way for the mix to be cleaner.

Same. Now that I know you should only do it for the drop 🫨

AMAZING VIDEO!!! at 4:09 you say something like s and return, can you explain a little more in depth how you got the reverb to be on top of the vocal I Keep rewatching that part but can't figure out how the reverb got on top of the vocal
@zaltannamusic7 ай бұрын
Basically, what you'd wanna do is put the reverb on a separate channel (referred to as a "send" or "send channel"), put the mix of the reverb at 100% (because you only want the reverb signal coming from the send) and then dial in the volume of the send until you have a nice balance of the dry vocal and the reverb. That way you keep the full sound of the dry vocal and get the reverb kind of as a supporting sound on top without drowning the vocal. Hope this helps!

Hey man I notice you’re not bussing or using an instrument rack for the reverb in the sound selection part. Is this just for the demonstration?

Would't it be better to add eq even before reverb to delate problem frequencies and after that put another eq after reverb to shape your sound?

Excellent videos always ! For me i want to recreate producer LiQWYD, but i foind it extremely difficult. I consider him the best producer in the world. Can you make once a video to recreate LiQWYD songs ?

Instead of using send for reverb, is it the same if I duplicate a track, slap a 100% wet reverb on it and I can also eq it ? Whats the difference?
@Searly7 ай бұрын
i guess it's basically the same, but using sends will use less cpu because with return tracks you won't need to apply the effects in each track, but it will be used in only one track

@@Searlygotcha! I have a beefy gaming pc I also use for music production. Cpu usage is usually something I dont even bother checking. I can also freeze if needed. Good to know tho. Thanks

if we use piano and sub at the same time then?
@soundhorizonacademy7 ай бұрын
I wouldn't worry too much, your sub will generally be lower but if they do clash, then automate a EQ to cut off the piano lows only when the sub comes in, the idea is that something is always carrying the low end for a big full mix!
@gravity00x7 ай бұрын
If the piano doesn't have tons of sub, usually it sounds amazing, especially if you figure out the right chords/keys, that complement your sub instead of fighting with it.
