@@ronjafjordvald needing dlc to make it fun is a big problem though. DLC should be extra, not necessary. Buying a whole $40 game and it feeling so incomplete that you have to spend $40 to $800+ more dollars just to enjoy it is not okay. The base game should be enough.

​@@ronjafjordvald needing a dlc isn't a positive. the base game should be enough, but it flat isn't. without dlc and mods? game is gets dull and stale very quickly. the sims 4 is a dumbed down version of sims 2, only minus more than a lot. sims 2 had game play, even without dlcs and mods. same with the sims 3. sims 4 however is sorely lacking. 40 - 50 bucks for a game, only to have little no game play and feel very incomplete, is stupid. then worse, realizing you have to fork out another 40 + just to get gameplay, is just insulting. its like the community clearly telling them what we want, only for the sims team to cram star wars into the game when really no one wanted it - save for a few select people. what it comes down to, is the sims gurus not listening to their fans. when sims 4 first dropped, it didn't even have the usual things you expect to see in the sims. no pools or toddlers. they only added it in, because people got seriously angry. base game wasn't even really done when they gave it to us. it felt rushed. so no. All Hope Falls, is not exaggerating. they are right. tho don't get me wrong. i do enjoy the game. but it's still lacking game play. the dlcs barely even give us content. they give us a little, but not a lot. and don't even get me started on kits and the lack of werewolves and fairies... especially when we already have vampires, witches and mermaids.

The only thing I miss with children in sims 4 is something like playing catch, hide and seek, or dress up, I wish kids had more child like interactions witch each other!

I agree do not always like playing as core families. I also think a divorced family isn’t necessarily unhappy. I love to make parents friends again after a breakup/divorce and co parent their child. I grew up with non-core families around me a lot. So any mods that assist in that gameplay, I am into.

Thanks for the MOD recommendations! I'm doing a playthrough and the sim I had to marry for challenge rules had a random son with this girl. It was because I forgot to turn MCC off, and so I ended up clearing that relationship. I kind of regret it now though, as life is not is always so simple. Sometimes it's messy!

This might have come with the new update but kids now gain more when you nad their skill! I maxed one of mines mental a day or so ago and she can lean logic and a few other I can't remember and I'm about to max the others and see if those are the same. I was shocked when it happened lol but I'm new to sims 4 still lol

ASUS ROG is fantastic. I never have lag or issues and I have everything installed

^I second that. ASUS ROG is an excellent computer. It’s what I had before my current laptop and I had it from 2014-2020. In 2020 it was still playing new games (not on ultra high anymore but still on high settings). Also, I had almost every TS3 pack installed and it ran okay. It wasn’t great, but that’s EA’s fault not the laptop’s 😂 For the price, you really can’t beat the ASUS ROG line. I paid around $1,400 for mine - compared to big name brands like Alienware, that same set up would have been on the high end of $2k. My best advice: invest in your CPU and graphics card. Paying a little extra for top of the line now will save you money from having to “keep up” with technology in newer games by buying a new laptop every few years. My other piece of advice is to get a tower instead of a laptop. Origin has a fantastic tower that my husband uses to game. Personally, I hate being confined to one spot so laptops are a must for me. But if you don’t share that sentiment, then a tower is definitely the best move as you can easily upgrade it and it’s WAY cheaper :) Hope this helps!

I always create my sim family and pattern it after my real world family just my mom my younger sisters and three cats and several other animals my father and mother divorced when I was younger the only thing different is that I would love to have a mod that dealt with handicaps and genetic illnesses such as hypogammaglobulinemeia, and Mytonic Dystrophy stuff like that because that is the reason my family is divided now.

I desperately need someone to convert the Sims 3 Bears and Dolls to Sims 4 and brings the play animations from that game over as well. The play animation for the small toys/large toys in Sims 4 is so boring in comparison.
