Bravo Media sails through the French Riviera in a new season of Below Deck Mediterranean. Sandy may be navigating the “Sirocco” mega yacht again, but she brings a new level of leadership in season four. With high expectations, she has no tolerance for anything short of perfection and will take drastic measures if the crew can’t deliver. Hannah, looking to right her wrongs from last season, is hoping for smooth sailing with a strong interior crew. But will choppy waters threaten her redemption? Mila, classically trained in French culinary cuisine, becomes the first female chef in franchise history, but after a bout with food poisoning right as the first charter guests are set to arrive, she’ll have her work cut out for her. Aesha, coping with a difficult past and using humor to get through tough times, is ready to hit the high seas and get another charter under her belt. Anastasia, born in the Republic of Georgia, has a strong sense of pride in her work ethic which takes her on an unexpected journey. João is looking for a fresh start and is laser focused on being the best Bosun for the crew, but not everyone is on board. Colin, feeling homesick, quickly finds himself on the outs after trying to connect with the new deck crew. Aesha may be the sweetest person I have ever seen on reality TV. She has an edge to her, but her heart is on her sleeve. Even as chief stew she is so like able. When people call her fake it angers me. She’s so real. Nobody that has gone through what she has and still has the attitude she does isn’t a bad person. I would love to meet her someday. Chef Ben is a fantastic chef. I could go on. This crew would have been the easiest crew I’ve seen from the various series to get along with. I also can’t believe Hannah made the mistake she did the following season. It’s nice to see her with the captain cordially. She does her job with an iron fist and throws the book at so many people. Then showed she herself doesn’t follow the book. The LAST thing you ever want a leader to do. And cheers to her for leaving the industry after that incident.

I think the real reason Hannah was so protective over the girls is because one had been raped and the other had been in a physically abusive relationship. She looked out and cared for them and didn't let any of the men on board disrespect or mess them about. Sandy expecting them all to be up for breakfast service when someone has to stay up at 2am and 3 am with the guests is bs. Maritime Law states they're supposed to get 8hrs between shifts i.e. Hannah did the right thing and Joao wasn't an effective bosun because his team was always tired and therefore doing subpar work.

I am an Australian woman and I can attest to the fact that we do NOT commonly slap or hit each other. In fact if I were to hit or slap anyone I know or they me it would end in either of us getting arrested for assault and getting fired from work (if it was a work colleague or it happened at work). I did have a coworker who would slap me if I was too polite (because it annoyed her) and my boss was actually going to call the police on her and pursue assault charges.

I think way more than half of the people I know would take it the way Travis intended if you were sleeping at the table with your mates on a big night out and after a few drinks the person next to you, whether male or female, gently tapped you on the cheek and said "wakey wakey" with a smile. I'm generally talking about single people under 25, not mature and settled adults. I personally would never do it myself, particularly to a woman or a work colleague, or even a good friend, but I know there are a lot of popular people about like Travis who tend to joke about and be the life of the party. They'd get away with it and people would love them all the more for it. Its like a certain type of guy can go up to a woman and say something that would make them laugh, but if another guy did it, it might be seen as creepy and attract condemnation . This is a commonly accepted nuance. Due to being drunk, he miscalculated a few things and it misfired due to a few factors - he might have thought he knew Anastasia better than in reality, they weren't as close as first thought, her sensitivity, stress levels and lack of humour, it was an out of hours extension of work, it was on TV, and the false presumption that most American girls would react in a similar way to all the people back home. Usually you would only do this sort of thing in circumstances in which you thought it would be reciprocated - you tend to know who you can mess with and will see the funny side. I think a lot of people lack perspective and instead of taking context into consideration, they try to apply a very black and white filter to a very dynamic set of circumstances. If I knew Travis, I'd probably advise to drink far less and probably not to do this at work or with women you don't know intimately that would not see the funny side, if at all. Because of her role, the response being recorded for a wide audience, and the fact that she was sitting next to her boss (who also has to tow the company line), I think Hanna's response as an Aussie with a bit of experience and decent social skills was rather disingenuous. If you were her best friend and you were chatting about it privately offline, I think she would recognise that this is a bit of a storm in a tea cup over something that is probably less of an issue, other than the fact that he was inebriated and made a bit of a poor choice. However she has to go the other way officially because she values her career and public profile.
