How are you guys doing lately??? We've had a lot of ups and downs in terms of finances this year so saving money and managing it wisely has been at the front of my mind (I know, it's not the sexiest topic but it really is so important!) so I wanted to share some of the mindset changes & habits I've made in the last couple of years that have made the biggest impact in saving me money in the long run. Let me know if you already do any of these or if there's an extra tip you want to share!

Do you have a list of preventative care that you use or recommend?

I've been using google sheets to document how much beauty/skin care products I have. Seeing how much backstock I have prevents me from buying any sets with items that I already have. It helped me alot with this past Sephora sale.

I found from being locked down, we stopped eating out, stopped buying clothes and now I am able to pay down debt and started saving.

Sometimes when I leave items in my cart to come back to, I’ll get an email from the company with a coupon to finish checking out! An added bonus if you do end up buying and are sure

I’ve noticed this happening SO much! That’s a great tip too 😉

Great tips! Especially shopping only when you need. The only silver lining to 2020 was that it made me more conscious of my spending habits. I didn’t buy any new skincare and instead used my stockpiled samples and half used, perfectly fine products. I was shocked at how much I have 😳

Something that has really worked for me is setting a spending allowance for myself each pay check for fun stuff (eating out/going out etc), and having it in cash. It helps me stick to my budget, and the physical visualisation of how much im spending makes me more conscious 👍🏼

I appreciate you making this video during the time we live in. One thing that I started doing recently is buying meals for nearby eateries for takeouts, rather than ordering them from food delivery apps. Those $3-4 saving really add up! I also wanna cook more next year 😊

I definitely have been saving money, sometimes I want a chococlate cake or sweets, but I'll refrain because I need food, not desserts. 0_0

Stemming from tip 8, instead of adding to cart and coming back to it in a week, I usually keep a wishlist on different retailer sites like Amazon to plug in any items I’ve been wanting/needing (but not immediate need) and checking back once in a while to comparison shop and see if it went on sale. Amazon shows me how much it went on discount vs when I first added to my wishlist, which helps me decide when to purchase. :)

Ah yes, personal finance, my favourite topic. 😁 Luckily I'm currently doing a shopping ban, that has made it really easy to just not shop. No temptation if you know you can't buy it in the first place.
