There is also a rare 3rd bollard in Alberta, generally in the Calgary region where it's blue instead of white or yellow in the stripe. It is more rare but it's definitely the most unique bollard I've seen

7:23 Åland can be very tricky because it looks like Sweden not only by the language but other things too. They have dashed side lines on the roads but in continental Finland they are solid. Also many municipal singposts are most likely bought from some Swedish company because they have Swedish font and arrowhead style. The white-on-blue signposts that are set up by the state have Finnish font. Also, on Åland islands 90km/h speed limit is common like in Sweden and it's simply unexistent in continental Finland. The best hint in addition to Swedish language on Åland islands is that there the roads have red paving and even unpaved roads are reddish because of that most common rock type on the area. 9:30 last friday night I finally got 25k in Ukraine. That was hard! It took over 2 hours :)

@@zi8gzag a very good example location is the roundabout at 60°06'52.3"N 19°56'24.3"E. If you look at there where the road 1 leaves the roundabout to the west, there are "Sweden-model" signs to Eckerö, Hammarland and Sjukhus (Swedish for hospital). "Sweden font" and V-style arrowhead. If you look at the other directions, the signs have "Finland font" and the arrowheads are filled triangles in "Finland style". If you leave that roundabout to any direction, you will see the Sweden style dashed side lines and of course the red roads!

Great Tips, I wanted to ask your opinion of learning Google metas compared to real world metas. For Example learning the Ukraine car compared to the Bali roofs. The roofs will be the same over time. However with new google coverage the car meta could disappear in a day. Has this ever backfired for you? Keep up the good work man
@YumekuiNeru8 ай бұрын
this is 100% why I think learning anything more complicated than like a dozen or so car metas at most (like the ghana tape or mongolia tent) is dumb. The ukraine road one for instance is absolutely wasted effort because as you say it will more likely than not be completely useless some day and you are wasting valuable time and brain on learning it that could be used for geographical/infrastructure knowledge. it is soulless stuff but I guess pro players do it because it is a huge short-term payoff you are forced to learn to compete with other pros even if it is useless long-term not a pro player myself though so disclaimer there

Hi zigzag. Can you make a quick tips video of how to determine the road angle. I don’t understand how to do it and would appreciate some help. Love the content ❤❤❤
@Canadagraphs2 жыл бұрын
It probably would be hard to generate enough content to drag out a video of any length on that. Its pretty easy & can probably be more explained in a short. Line your compass up straight north, then turn your camera directly down to the road, making sure your compass stays direct north. Then just pull the map up, scroll in & start seeing what road in the area you think its in lines up. The google maps angles are VERY close 99% of the time to the way it looks in game. Sometimes going into, or on a curve it can be a bit off. But its not terribly complex to do. Hope that helps.
