Funnily enough, I originally discovered GeoGuessr due to the chess community. Another popular chess streamer, International Master Eric Rosen, happened to upload a GeoGuessr video. This was more than four years ago, before GeoGuessr really blew up in popularity. Ever since seeing GeoGuessr for the first time all those years ago, I’ve been hooked!

I never did because I was an American raised in one the main character states so there was no reason to and I also managed to graduate high school without ever taking any geography classes bc US public school is more of a baby sitting program than a means of education but then I got into geoguessr and now I know all the countries and islands of the world
@bronsknight295423 сағат бұрын
It's interesting, I as an American took geography classes and we NEVER looked at maps. Honestly, before studying for geoguessr my only exposure to world maps was really just in history class, learning about like Rome and Greece or the fertile crescent. It's kind of interesting and probably a good reflection of American nationalism

@chrisi146615 сағат бұрын
No I think it’s just if the average person decides to play the game and they are put on a rural European road or middle of Senegal they are going to have no clue and probably never play again, so if most new players play that mode first and have some basic common knowledge they can see how the game works without being in the middle of nowhere and feeling dumb lol
