When you said swing coming back in the 90’s was thinking you were going to say mighty mighty bosstones lol

Haha, nah. But now you got me listening to the Bosstones this morning. “The Impression That I Get” is such a great tune. 😁🤘

Loved the hip hop chat guys. I'm very much like you Jason. The likes of the 1st Doug E Fresh LP were played to death (2nd LP was great as well). I did continue to buy hip hop until 1993 so I bought Nas Halftime 12" upon release but I left it then and it very much felt like it was music of my youth. I did return to it in the 00s but mainly to buy stuff from the 80s and early 90s I missed first time round. Got to say Nas's verse on Live At The Barbeque (his first appearance on record via Main Source) is one of the best rap verses ever. Cheers Nige

@nigelcampag1290 Exactly the same with me, Nigel. I was so into it as a kid in the 80s. But then other things come up in life and hip hop just didn't get the attention. I would hear E-40, or Tribe, or Digital Underground, or Ludacris over the years but it was just isolated situations where the music would pop up. Now I'm in a position where I'm trying to build a collection around the stuff I loved growing up. I just did a full hour on hip hop with @mrhoffame that you might enjoy. It will drop soon.
