That Dunne vs. Bate match from Takeover: Chicago is one of my all-time favourites. It wasn't one thing that made it great for me, but it was a combination of a lot of little things. The chemistry, the varied styles on display, the fact that it was the first big display of NXT UK's talent on American soil, the red hot crowd. Even JR's first time being back on WWE commentary after his wife's passing with Nigel asking "You alright Jim?" just added a little something to the overall presentation of the match. I used to watch it all the time. An absolute classic!

People take Meltzer’s star ratings far too seriously. He’s incredibly partial to New Japan and strong-style matches, the bias is palpable. He basically said he didn’t Taker/Michaels at WM 25 5 stars due to the Snuka cameraman botch which was no fault of the performers whatsoever. That’s f*cking stupid. WWE has had plenty of 5 star matches over the years, it doesn’t really matter if he thinks otherwise.

To be fair, Meltzer is THE news editor for wrestling. His word holds a lot of weight, and his 5 star ratings were very few and far in between to achieve for any company so to get one meant that your match was just that good.
