@Anurag Lamba What? I feel like if you’re the company’s main champion, you should atleast be allowed to put up a fight. If Daniel Bryan, Aj Styles, Seth Rollins, and Finn Balor were allowed to actually put up a fight and have a decent showing against Brock, why not let Kofi do the same thing? We knew he was going to lose, but to squash him like that just made him look bad.
@kayskreed3 жыл бұрын
The worst part about the Kofi squash is that he never asked for a rematch. It's as if his whole WWE reign was nothing more than a fever dream, or worse still, like it never happened. Even if they had no intention on having him win it back, they could have progressed his character all the same. Maybe a Kofi heel turn, anything really. But that was just embarrassing. They could have had Kofi come out and say something like he wasn't prepared and ask for a rematch. Give him the rematch and let him get some offense in but still lose. That way we could rationalize it as the better wrestler winning, get a little closure on the story and have Kofi not look like such such chump. Instead, as is all too common with the WWE, they're more interested in creating "moments" than telling good stories. Moments get people's attention but good stories keep them interested and coming back for more.

The Brock Lesnar/Kofi Kingston WWE Championship match was unacceptable. Even if Kofi was booked to lose the title they should've at least had the match go 8 or 9 minutes allowing Kofi to put up a solid fight before Lesnar put him down for the 3 count. it was just in poor taste they had Kofi lose in 8 seconds given they kept the title on him for 6 months building up these stories of him defending/feuding with the likes of Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens, Dolph Zigger, Samoa Joe & Randy Orton, and through all of that just lose to Lesnar in 8 seconds? Not only did it completely diminish Kofi's WWE Title reign, but it made all the previous competitors he defended the title against look totally weak as well. What's even worse was there was no follow either nor did Kofi ever be given the chance to express how he felt to lose a Championship he fought and clawed for 11 years to win, the biggest prize in WWE, taken from him in 8 seconds with no further story explanation.

A lot of these can simply be boiled down to three things: Politicking, money, and Vince being bored. Kofi being a prime example of the three. As for the infamous 18 seconds, Sheamus knew it was going to make him hated, but neither man had the clout to convince the powers at be (Vince) to lengthen the match. All in all, these squashes didn't need to happen, and some of the people who got squashed never recovered the momentum they had. Damn shame too, but this is the WWE: not a tall and muscular man, proceed to the "We Don't Care" Locker Room.

I blame the Fox Network for Kofi’s reign being ended by Brock Lesnar. You KNOW how racist the Fox Network’s Executives are.

As a hardcore WWECW fan (all you NXT fans can bite me as it was NXT before NXT), the Kane/Chavo match still pisses me off to this day. Don't even get me started on Chavo being in the 2008 Royal Rumble as ECW Champion. That's like NXT Champion being in the Rumble. WWE didn't give a shit about the development brand back then. Also as a lifelong WCW fan, don't even get me started as well over the Sheamus/Danielson match for the Big Gold Belt. Most prestigious title in the history of the business (after the US Title in my hardcore US Title fanboy opinion) and you treat it like that?! Fuck WWE!!! WCW FOR LIFE!!!!

One I think should've been here was when brock squashed braun in Saudi Arabia. Brock finally lost the title to Roman, Roman had to relinquish it, and we got brock vs braun 1 on 1 to crown a new champion. Braun got 1 kick to the gut in on brock that whole match. Brock owned him with 5 f5's and beat him. For me, thats where strowman's momentum truly died.

I really feel for braun he should have won after his feud with Roman. The one where he destroyed everything.
