I was born in 2001, but I still grew up with SO many 80s and 90s movies. I've seen Blank Check multiple times, and it's such a fun movie! Major Payne I also saw a while ago too. One of my favorites as a kid that's super underrated is The Pagemaster starring Macaulay Culkin.

Despite being born in 2000, I still recognized 4 of these movies! Did anyone else realize that Ben Stiller’s character in heavyweights is identical to his character in dodgeball? That always felt weird to me.

Born in 85 🙌🏽. My list from the 90’s will includes some of yours listed, The Little Giants, Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitters Dead, Drop Dead Fred, The Sandlot, Problem Child, Denis The Menace, Man of the House, Bingo, Dunston Checks In, Monkey Trouble, Getting Even With Dad, House Arrest, House Guest, Bill and Ted, Wayne’s World, First Kid, Kazaam, Beetlejuice, Richie Rich, The Mighty Ducks, A Kid in King Arthur’s Court etc... Oh the nostalgia! 🙃 Lol I watch tons on these with my kids. They love everything 90’s and can’t stomach most of todays movies and tv shows. 3 Ninjas was my movie back in the 90’s! Tum Tum was my favorite. 😂 My kids love them along with all of the movies listed.🫶🏽

I've seen pretty much all of these, a couple in cinemas. Thank you for putting on Heavyweights, that's one I think about sometimes but had forgotten the name (and couldn't be bothered looking up). An honorable (?) mention: Bingo, a boy and his dog movie that is loaded with early 90's craziness, from a super intelligent dog to silly poop jokes, to even a restaurant that serves hot dogs made from actual dogs. Rated PG!

I grew up in the 2000s. Movies I can think of are Battle for Terra, Cats and Dogs, Cats and Dogs Revenge of Kitty Galore, Monsters vs Aliens, Sharkboy and Lavagirl, Astroboy, and the Tale of Despereaux. Lots of them are really mediocre animated films that I barely even remember. That and atrocious cgi filled action comedies. Very nostalgic looking these films up on the internet. Most of them have not aged well at all and will be forgotten with time.

In the sequel to 3 ninjas (3 ninjas kick back) the 3 boys go to Japan. During the "montage" scene of them being culture shocked, the director wanted a modernish song to play, but it has to sound "Asian." They settled on a song call nan arayo (I know) by Seo Taiji. The keen eyed will realize this is actually a Korean song not a Japanese song, and despite the ignorant racism, it's actually pretty interesting that they chose that particular song. You see, that might just be one of the most important Kpop songs of all time. In the 80s, Korean music was dominated by a genre called trot. It was a very dated style of music, but the whole country was infatuated with it, except the young generation who were waiting for something new. And it was on the horizon. There were underground artists that were up and coming using Western music as a model. Groups like clon, honey family, deus, and others were having mild success however none were mainstream. On March 23rd, 1992 an event occured on south Korean television that is as important to Kpop as the Beatles on Ed Sullivan or Micheal Jackson on Motown 25 was to the west; Seo Taiji and boys performed nan arayo on the Saturday evening music show. The song was _heavily_ influenced by the new jack swing movement going on in the USA at the time and it had a choreographed dance to go along with it. Not only that, but the three boys performing were all "super cute." The judges hated it. The public however, had a much MUCH different take. Girls all over the country were clamoring to get the album and see the boys perform, and the radios couldn't get enough. In one fell swoop, Seo Taiji started a musical revolution. He had gotten so popular that by 1996, he had moved to the USA because he couldn't go anywhere in south korea without getting mobbed. Eventually and entire industry sprang up to replicate his success. First gen groups like H.O.T and FIN.K.L gave way to the second gen in the early 2000s and the music started to spread internationally with groups like snsd and shinee becoming know outside of Korea, getting huge in Japan, and even gaining some notoriety in the west. Then PSY came along (well actually he was really there since the begining, as he had been making korean rap music in the early 90s, just with little success, compared to what was about to happen). His release of Gangnam Style put Kpop squarely on the international scene. And since then, bts, blackpink and others have skyrocketed Kpop to a whole new level. But it all started with that one little dance on the Saturday night music show by Seo Taiji. A song that was released to the USA on a craptastic soundtrack to a movie it probably shouldn't have been in. So if you are a 90s kid, you've heard the beginning of Kpop. You just don't remember it. Go look it up. Search KZbin for "3 ninjas kick back nan arayo." And thanks for coming to my Ted talk...

Meteor Man, Blank Man, Suburban Commando. For some reason instead using existing superheroes they just made up their own. Or heroes that no kid even knew like the Phantom or The Rocketeer really strange now that I think about it. It wasn't until X-Men in 2000 that they finally kicked off the current superhero craze.

Oh man, I was born in March of 1992 and I must admit that I didn't see a single one of these when I was a kid. I have never even heard of any of these with the exception of just 1 of them until now. My Aunt LOVES Junior, and me being an Arnold Schwarzenegger fan, i bought the DVD and watched it with her. Not gonna lie, I actually enjoyed it!! My childhood was admittedly filled with Disney Animated movies and a whole lot of suff from the 80's that my mom loved and insisted on showing me that I ended up liking. Such as: The Neverending Story, The Lost Boys, Close Encounters of The Third Kind, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and of course the Original Star Wars Trilogy. Those are all great and well remembered for a reason though. These are 10 of the forgettable movies I saw during the 90's and 2000's that I can vaguely remember: #1: Good Burger #2: Max Keeble's Big Move #3: See Spot Run #4: Agent Cody Banks #5: The Spiderwick Chronicles #6: Planet 51 #7: Beverly Hills Chihuahua #8: The Master of Disguise #9: Snow Dogs #10: A Troll in Central Park

(01) Okay, this is a bit of a cheat, because I never actually saw the movie, but the VHS tape for "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze" contained a trailer for a film that according to the ad was called "Step Kids" but is listed in IDMb as having the title "Big Girls Don't Cry... They Get Even". (02) There was a Fred Savage/Howie Mandel movie called "Little Monsters" (1989) which I'm pretty sure Pixar ripped off -- (ahem) -- sought inspiration from for "Monsters, Inc.". (03) A Fred Savage movie called "The Wizard" which was basically a Nintendo Commercial for "The Power Glove" and "Super Mario Bros. 3". (04) And then there's a forgotten film from 1987 called "Batteries Not Included".
