Cold Fever from 1995. I saw that moving when I was teen, and thought it was written by Murakami. It wasn't, but it sure fooled me.

Some suggestions to add for the third part. -Personal Shopper (Olivier Assayas, 2016) -Under the Silver Lake (David Robert Mitchell, 2018) -The Night Is Short, Walk On Girl (Masaaki Yuasa, 2017) -On Body and Soul (Ildiko Enyedi, 2017) -Extraordinary Stories (Mariano Llinás, 2008) -Sidewalls (Gustavo Taretto, 2011) In the case of PTA, mentioned in the first part with Magnolia, I think that Punch-Drunk Love has more Murakami vibes.

Wong Kar Wai's 2046. I saw you already covered In the Mood for Love. But I feel 2046 has way more vibes of a Murakami fiction.
