Isn't starfield cap'd at 30 FPS on the Xbox consoles? I remember hearing that at one point... could be mistaken but if I'm not then I'd guess that is why the UI is at 30fps, which is stupid but limiting the UI's fps free's up a bit of processing time for other things so I can see why they'd go that route if they were pushing some of the consoles already.

I have about 20 mods installed and few I can’t get to work no matter what I do. Betterhud is one of them sadly. And inventory UI is another along with icons for inventory. About 10% won’t work no matter what i try. 90% are flawless and truly enhance the game. StarFX reshade preset is the best one I’ve found and adds extra files to help eliminate the filters installed by Bethesda.

20 mods in the first week is already a lot haha Starfield mods are actually more complicated to get working If you're having issues, start again and re-read the mod page I'd say also check your StarfielCustom.ini file since I heard from multiple people that's where their issue was

@@NarivaTV thanks. I actually found my issue. It was main menu settings and I had turned on large text for some unknown reason. Turned it off and everything worked great. Who would have thought that could be the issue.

Could really use some combat mods... There's not enough impact when shooting enemies, there's also basically no gore or blood in the game which is unlike Bethesda.

One mod I would suggest is BethINI Pie for Starfield. Works great an easier and game is stabler.

Bad news: Starfield is deeply mediocre. Good News: It probably won't divert many modders away from Skyrim. Bad: This doesn't bode well for Elder Scrolls VI. Good: The Beyond Skyrim teams and other modders will have given us a better game than Bethesda by that time anyway.

@wanax why? It has amazing bones, they already have a script extender for it, that's record time, there are too many awesome stories to be told in space for bunch of modders to miss out. Me included.

@@doggolovescheese1310 The setting and aesthetics are far too generic. And Starfield feels disjointed, like disparate "levels" you jump between, not a tangible world. The Creation engine simply wasn't well suited for a space sim. Even "No Man's Sky" does this better. So I'd argue, no, the "bones" aren't here, either technically, artistically, or as compelling lore.

@@doggolovescheese1310 And I just noticed: Look at the views on Nariva's latest two videos on Starfield compared to his regular ones on Skyrim. And this is in the honeymoon period of the game. I'll wager we'll be seeing a return to Skyrim content rather soon.
